I think that the acapella groups sing it because it is such a great song. And once someone recomposes it for voice only, it is among only a handful of fun songs for groups.
i love this song so much, the lyrics are great and holds such fond memories for me (and i'm sure many people at that time)....i don't understand why so many acapella groups are so big on this and what got that started, but looking for the video (i realise now there was none made) all i see are the college/acapella groups and it's refreshing to hear the original by B. Pilgrim. awesome. thanks so much.
GAH THANKS! I mean, it's cool that it's sung a copella but sometimes the original song is more refreshing.
