  • OMG REAL HIP HOP ;)

  • Rocking continents across the world!!!!

  • That's why the corporations took over rap music because of it's influences to the youth!

  • Those of you who like Jeru should have a listen at his collab with spanish trio Violadores del Verso (Verse Rapers), the song's called "Solo Quedar Consuelo" and Jeru raps an english-spanish verse at the end. Truly a sick ass tune-

  • What they concealed the drums reveal :)

    GO-ON JERU!!

  • premooooo

  • This album was one of the greatest real hip-hop albums ever created especially because of DJ Premier

  • Yes but you have to admit Jeru kills it with his rhymes and lyrics too. The beats are fantastic, Premier is on point as much as he ever was with Gangstarr, but Jeru's rhymes would have carried just as well with other good producers.

  • @mach1man22 no id have to say its just the opposite what i mean is, if premire hadnt thought jeru sucked then he wouldnt have been so liberal with them but, only jeru can tear up those beats like he does because no one else can duplicate his style primere can make any album good but would you buy this album if it was 50 cent and primere?

  • @mach1man22 DJ Premier is the most essential character in Hip-Hop, nuff said

  • @mach1man22 I would agree if you meant wrath of the math :P

  • @mach1man22 YEP...BUT JERU INTELLIGENCE MADE THE ALBUM TIMELESS

  • I fucking love Jeru

  • One of the greatest MC's to blaze the mic... no... he didn't blaze the mic, he freaking went supernova on that shizz.

  • Excellent message. Tight beats. Historical info and consciousness. Jeru is still a bad motherf%*#ker! It's an old album, but Jeru can still chew rappers up and spit'em out. Word.

  • Youtube: Point of No Return, or Harlem Streets. By Immortal Technique.

He is a bit more hardcore, but your jaw will drop when he hits his flow. he also promotes copying his music for free and playing it everywhere.

It's time "minorities" start rewriting their histories.

  • great beats,lyrics,video.love it.

  • vladimir kaumandjeros he is very addicted to drugs

  • what a sick beat...

  • " like my ancestor's drums, i beat the odds"

  • respect for doing a video, a classic song.

    damn I miss hip-hop.

  • "too long you've abused it, on the low used it...and called it jungle music"

that's the realest line right there....the mainstream society always condemns hip hop until they need it to sell their drinks and clothes and get more people to watch their sporting events....let's take our music back

  • amen

  • word! let's go tell em...

and its the same story going on with any kind of our music... their just sellin it and makin the profit while aint knowin shit about it. !!!!1

  • ddddddddddddddddddddddddope

  • this is some of his most intelligent content. If he had to get one award i'd give him the most intelligent hip hop artist of all time award. the shit he talks about in this song is straight knowledge from books and old timers. Jeru is fucked.

  • this is on yank who respects dizzee, b.i.g isnt the best rapper hes a good mc yet not the best.

    RAKIM AND KRS= BEST MC'S

  • biggie probably is the best hardcore gangsta rapper but mcs like krs, rakim, daddy kane, chuck; even some old school cats like gmc, melle and mo dee all got mad flow.

  • ya the dont get the point though, there just banker want a bees..no disrespect though brother

  • deep as beat

  • " they know one day we will learn how to use it, thats why they fear out jungle music! "

    sick track!

  • sick.word up!!!

  • i think the same way.

that kind of flow is dead somehow.

nowdays rap chenaged...still there is good music...but you cant compare it with 90's rap...hope my english is good enough...greetings from germany

  • Word up brotha. i totally agree. Im from chicago and we got some sick underground.

  • send me some recommendations man.... i'm always lookin for some real music

    thanks

    Amit/Red

  • i just agree....

  • any of you young dudes who dont understand why people say hip hop is dead - watch and learn..... early 90s (before it became commercial in 96) were the best years....

    Amit/Red

  • LOL. Hip Hop was commercialized in 1979 with The Sugarhill Gang's Rapper's Delight.

  • all ya young ones who think hip hop isnt dead - watch and learn

  • Jeru's not only a lyricist but a story teller. His vocals are so expressive and Premiers beats and scratches are so soulful.

  • While the concert no-one cared about black or white. Being black and the knowledge of the sad history of the racial-problematic as the experiences he made with both factors, is a part of Jeru's identity. That's why he legitimately broached the issue of it in his tracks and made us think about it. But not to point fingers on one another, I guess. At least I didn't feel so, while smiling in the audience and getting pictured with him by a stranger using my camera. One Love

  • people who think, un cultured white people dont fear "jungle music" are falsely mistaken... but now i dont think they care because they dont talk about anything relevant to join togethor rather they split apart kill each otherand get arrested.. dont for one second think that just because cultured white people like you like it .. dont think for a second there isnt someone out there like.. damm this naggars!! there gonna band togathar!!

  • you fools saying any type of music is made for anyone every music is for people and bein black or white shouldnt matter and if u think it does ur a fool, hiphop is good music and my being white wont matter if im in a crowd bouncin with my friends.. only love in the crowd

  • Statistically speaking, white people are the biggest consumers of rap but don't let that fool ya. Economically, black folks might not be able to buy the records so they'll cop a mixt of the phattest joints while whites will get the records, tickets, tour jackets, and posters which drives the statistics up.

  • As usual, exellent lyrics and music, but the victimology is SO tired. Exactly WHO "fears" this "jungle music"? (As if I have to ask.) White people are among the biggest consumers and supporters of rap whether via radio play or in the record stores.

  • And so... The music still isn't made for you and/or to appeal to your taste... Ya'll love to buy music from artist who diss you - rightfully so or not. At least "you" can recognize a good lyricist...

  • Thomas, you did an excellent job with this video!!

  • Real talk muskokaLad, couldn't have been more clearer son

  • One of my favorite songs of all time!

  • "Like my ancestors drums I beat the odds." Jeru needs to come back and put some of this wack shit to the curb.

  • ALIVE

    HIPHOP

  • dat's a classic trak, homie. And i'll be real, I listen to shit that ain't as conscious, 4 example, shit like young jeezy...lil wayne...fabolous..etc. but i grew up on shit like dis. Nuthin like a Premo beat, huh? I tilt my hat 2 u 4 dis 1 Thomas...

  • Made me smile. But it's a lucky one. I worked this out with small scenes from a digital foto-cam, filmed at the concert, so I'm quite satisfied with it, though I know the track deserves better. :-)

  • its cool thou.

  • this is the only stuff you should bother with, why bother with the urban pop junk like jeezy....its disco music repackaged to be hip?
