nice video though one very important element is missing and that is, how to figure out the volts, means how could we figure out how much volts and amps are required to turn that LED on.

@listojay a simple diode blocks half the wave making it {1 0 1 0 1 ... etc}

but u can use bridges or a center tap transformer to reverse that half instead of just blocking it which will unify the direction and u will get something like a {sin(2*pi*t)}^2

i think you introduced LED's a little too soon. maybe you should speak about diodes before LED's because that's what they basicly are (Light Emitting Diode).

Are you high? The LED's in this video are the shittiest ones you can get and they don't cost 5$ a pop. You can get a whole bag of them for 10$. Also look on ebay some people sell boxes of them for 50$
