  • looks like a yoplait commercial. lol

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • daaaaayumm

  • buy bubble tea! ?_?

  • beautiful one flaw there was no liquid displacement or in simple terms the waterer should have gotten higher

  • Do you know a good tutorial for objects smash in water? I don't know what to type in in the YouTube search...

  • how do you make a stationary liquid like this for pre keyed animation? i assume you used the bullet physics in the strawberry and recorded it to ipo... but i just can't make a stationary liquid....

  • How long to render?

  • stolen

  • Fluid looks too silky, but otherwise good.

  • i just clicked at the like button, because i like strawberrys :]

  • that's a lot of cream pie

  • bish bash bosh real top nosh :P

  • Jizz.

  • I want to eat it :(

  • It looks fantastic, except for one thing or two... basically the "yogurt" or cream looks like it has a pretty thick consistency when the strawberry makes contact, however there doesnt appear to be any resistance to the strawberry penetrating the fluid, it just seems to hit and dissapear right into it, almost as if the strawberries themselves are 100lb cannon balls.

Its not a huge detail, because you can definently sell this to a client in its current form!

  • This could be some kind of commercial for drinking yoghurt.

"With only the best strawberries!" (strawberries drop into yoghurt)

  • (homer-style) MMMMM STRAAAWBERRIES.. what? Not REAL? D'OH!

  • This cant be blender internal!

  • really coool vid

  • did you make the strawberries in blender too ?

  • i have no idea what particles are or anything techy but i sure do love strawberries and milk

  • Just a think I notice though...when the strawberry goes under the milk and than it rise up it shouldn't be fully red but had to get some white of the milk. Anyway that's very nice, great work!

  • These are no ordinary strawberrys, These are computer generated strawberrys...

  • is that skeet?

  • mmmmmmm.... some highly rendered pixels.

  • dude you should make a screen shot and put it up as a desktop background download!! just an idea

  • its good but something seems a bit off about the milk either the lighting or its a little viscous its till good tho

  • with this kind of software reality starts to look fake.....

  • how long did this delicious concotion take to render? =D

  • looks like something straight out of a yogurt commercial!

  • you should drop a real strawberry in milk to compare the two

  • That's how kellog's makes their cereal commercials!!

  • you are a MASTER!!!! is there a blender forum were i can ask for help, im still trying to learn, how to you animate, im at the modeling stage, with the background image thing..... any tutorials???

  • damn i love those physics!

  • one question.. how long dose it take to render this?

  • is this an animation? :O

  • Cool

  • you should have made the strawberries rigidbody in game engine then drop them on a big softbody and record to ipo

  • how did you do that!!!!!!! Please tell me!!

  • Dear Mike ,

    You are the best

Please make tutotial about this video

  • awesome

  • YOU MADE THAT?! SOOOOO COOL.

  • it looks like one of those yogurt commercials

  • >>>damn nice

best 3d liquid i've seen yet

  • Wow!Nice!

  • I like that glossy reflection of the yoghurt (?).

  • Nice DoF ;)

  • how do you make the youghurt

  • @ildunari Leave milk out in the sun. ;)

  • Rofl , best comment ever

    Haha

  • it looks awesome

  • superb!

  • nice!!! :)

  • best blender animation i see till date.... i´d give it 6 stars but it only goes to 5

  • tasty

  • nice rendering, but i think the strawberries react a little oddly toward the fluid, and to each other after they've hit the liquid

  • fantastic render!!

  • YUM !!

  • That's cool! It's like the animations you see on those cereal commercials!

  • is that fake

  • mmmmmm strawberries! *drools* just wacting this animation makes me hungry! I WANT SUM MILK AND STRAWBERRIES!XDDDD (but seriously *continues drooling*)

  • Mission accomplished, then.:p

  • @kailan121

    lool, same here :B

  • Hey, thats fantastic! Help me out though, was this rendered inside of Blender? I guess what I am asking is, if i download blender do I have the tool to makes what you have, or is their plugins, rendering software and other shit I need! Help!

  • I think you will have all you need if you download blender... Fun Fun Fun....

  • Blender is indeed all you need :)

  • I don't know how he did it... But yes, you could basically make the same thing with just Blender.

  • Yes minime, it's all Blender. No extra plugins, licenses, renderers or post processing.

  • @mpan3 are u serious only blender?

If u don't mind me asking what system spec are required to get into this Plzz ur response will be greatly appreciated

  • Now you can make yogurt commercials to help sustain yourself :D

  • I lol'd

  • computer...

  • deep. :D

  • how much does blender cost?

  • Free... Blender(Dot)org. Will take some time to get used to tho.

  • @mpan3 OMG^^

  • Wow very nice job!

how long did this take? Any chance on a tutorial for it or a similar and simpler one?

  • nice!

  • 0:8 a guy

    0:11 a slug

  • ghsorb lvr

    d:P

  • jogobella... xD

  • Ohhhh now set it to Bill Wither's "Use Me Up". Just kidding amazing video by the way.

  • wow awsome makes me hungry.. XD. hrm im wondering, using an inflow i tried to make it look like liquid was pouring out of a tap (well cylinder) but when i did that, it just went all weird and put out a couple of drops. anyone know the cause. i set all co-ordanats properly, anyone could direct me? would be great thx :)

  • its possible you are using the default 50 resolution. before you bake the fluid, look at the resolution and change it higher for better looking fluid. WARNING it takes more memory so hope your computer can handle it. heres an example /watch?v=iz5FMmvlFg4 reply if you get it.

  • Very nicely done. How is it done? I've only just touched on fluid sim, but I can only figure out how to drop fluid, as apposed to dropping something into still fluid. How do you start with still fluid? If I could achieve that, then I guess I would move an Obstacle into the fluid...

  • Very nice but I still like the real deal. I posted one of my shots of a strawberry going into milk. For your reference the drop was from about 8 inches or so. 3D has come a long way and there are things that you can do that I cannot and the other way around. Most effects that are great you cannot see. Most of the time to really get the effect, image or clip to be convincing the best trick is to combine shots to sell the final shot. again great shot

    Alan

  • thanks for the reference!

  • I posted another one that you would like more takes.

  • I really like the animation

  • Nope no yafray. I only used Blender internal. SSS was NOT used in the render actually. Since it wasn't working with fluid meshes for some reason and caused artifacts.

@Enisten, you'd be surprised how much a splash a single strawberry creates when dropped from a height of 10cm.

  • it looks like the strawberries were dropped from 50ft high

  • really nice.. yafray i guess?.. what resolution did u use on the fluid?

  • can yafray use sss ?

  • oh ya thers sss with yafray too.. at least on my blender version.. the latest :P

  • or not.. sorry :P.. the options r there but yafray seems to be unable to render it.. well im no pro either.. cant even do a human-like face :@

  • Hi from blenderartists :) Nice animation. How did you get the strawberries to interact with the fluid? I know how to do it with IPOs, but is this using the physics engine? They bump very nicely.

  • I am using a Core 2 Duo running at 3.2Ghz with 4GB of RAM and a geforce 7950. M1710 is a nice laptop, but way beyond my budget.

  • i've changed many settings... Basically I tweaked the numbers until it looks right.

  • um that looks good

  • That is great. What did you change to get the fluid to respond so well?

  • Mike, what was the render time on that, (id say over 10 hours)

  • yes, sss was used on the strawberries. DoF via composit node was also used.

  • Nice. SSS and compositing?

  • mmm... strawberries
