Hey, I think that Herbie comment is out of context...I think he didn't mean to "forget" Zawinul, he was just talking about Chick and himself - a.ka two pianists.
Herbie conveniently forgets Joe Zawinul, who dominated the keyboard work on both Bitches Brew and In A Silent Way when talking about playing with Miles Davis, and who wrote much of the music on the two albums.
@bobvanluijt it's a shame when a musician of the stature of Hancock ignores Zawinul's contributions on the two albums. Hancock basically played in the background while Joe smoked.
Wow, this is wonderful, parts 1 and 2. The production staff really got this together in great fashion. Noticed the name Bob Belden, maybe the same fella' that produced Joe Henderson's "Big Band". ALSO, "Now He Sings, Now He Sobs", is an all time great trio album, (along with the more conservative Bill Evans "Trio 65"). Thanks to all for putting this together!
cant wait to know more about him

@atty1chgo no, offcourse. But I think you assume (with the word: "conveniently") that he did it on purpose... And I wonder if that's true.
