People get married because they want to make their love even stronger, and to strengthen the bond between them. Lots of people may have different reasons though. Otherwise we are depriving them from expressing and feeling love.

That's why you need a Priest, Rabbi, Imam or a Monk to hear the Marriage oath of the Couples Marrying each other. Not that I expect fair reporting from CBN, but how about interviewing the people who proposed the legislation? Or maybe ask a gay person what they think about Christians and Muslims teaming up against them?
And for a network called "Christian Broadcast Network," I have to say I'm impressed, that lady is the most inappropriately dressed news anchor I've ever seen on television. Way to keep it classy and professional!

@GauchoAccordion CBN is run by (and for) evangelical Protestants. They interviewed the Muslim cleric, because he agrees with their agenda and is unlikely to have any effect on the station's audience. Catholic support was mentioned, but not promoted - this station bashes Catholicism at every opportunity, and only provided a glimpse of the bigot involved.

@zxzIzxz Always. They just never called it that before. In the past, denying gays their rights was completely legal and actually legislated. Now that gays are demanding the same rights as everyone else, the religious have decided they are being "persecuted".
Same thing happened when women wanted the right to vote and when slavery was abolished. The religious claimed misogyny and slavery were correct because their holy books said so. There is no difference.
