I could not call this band "generic", actually it pretty much manages to sound different than the rest of the "DJENT" bands, whom over abuse the "1111011101010" riff style, with that said, Textures could be "catergorized" as a djent band with some progressive elements. You just have to pay attention to the music and not f***** expect Chuga Chuga sections on every f***** song!!

I guess I just wasted 6 minutes and 41 seconds. Over all it is a descent sounding generic song. So many bands have this same sound these days with no inventif riffs. I guess the days are long past or just farther in between when I can find a band that puts things together in a way that inpresses me. BUT Animals as Leaders sure fucking impresses. If you do like these guys check Animals as Leaders out. You will not be disapointed.

Daniel's voice is absolutely perfect.

One of my favorite Texture's songs.

Believe me, I've heard the ENTIRE album, and it's better than anything they've put out.

That isn't meant to bash on the previous 3, but the production is slicker, musicality tightened (the masterful Stef Broks and his polyrhythmic percussion a lead instrument in itself) and their new vocalist is an absolute gem who, in my opinion, takes the legacy that Eric Kalsbeek formed to unparalleled heights.

The production on this, is not bad. But you could say "weak". But I really like the sound of this. And I think it's good that the snare isn't like on Drawing Circles, but more in the background. Now it mixes up better in the music, the drums let the music breath more now. The song itself is just fucking amazing. Can't wait for the release!!

His voice is so prominent and "full" and the screams are extremely well articulated. You don't find singers like that very often!
