@blksassygrl hi, welcome to my channel!! check out video #100 to see my complete hair journey - this takes you from childhood, relaxed, transitoning, back to relaxed, transitioning again & finally natural...thanks so much for the support, sis!
thank u for showing us that long lengths can b achieved without 9hour detangling sessions n exotic oil n powder blends n 20 product applications at various points of the hairshaft!
I agree with @deepseteyes you do look ridiculously young:).. When you said you had two girls I was like what!? Your a teenager!! Lol. To the point! I Love the video!!:) Im just weirded out a little because I use the same same cholesterol, exact same tre semeé , and the exact same comb same color and all in the same order as you!weirdddd. Great minds think alike! Lol
Tresemme Naturals Aloe Vera is my leave in too that I alternate with Giovanni direct Weightless moisture but Tresemme is pulling ahead because it's thicker and cheaper and no cones :)
I mix coconut oil and aloe vera on my hair with conditioner as a preopoo too, but I thought the aloe vera and coconut oil were laying my cuticles down to keep them from being too lifted during the shampoo process (to prevent hygral degradation over time). Let me know because you are further along in this hair journey than me.
@Toyaruth from my understanding a pre-poo acts as a barrier between the shampoo & your hair, not so much a pH balancer or cuticle closer. so, when you shampoo, the pre-poo oils/moisture will be removed first, theoretically preserving the oil/moisture in your hair...i hope that makes sense.
@imaniannsnelling that's the case on WET hair. when used on DRY hair it's a different story. if u saturated ur DRY hair with aloe & set it on rollers, ur hair will take the form of the rollers as it dries. why? b/c ur hair's cuticle has been opened enough to change the shape of ur hair when aloe was applied to dry hair. just as if u used water on DRY hair & set it. pH only applies to WET hair. since DRY hair has no pH no matter what liquid you put on it the pH [& cuticle] is raised.
Wow Im almost like u I dont have a set time when I want to wash or condition my hair I do it was my hair tells me...I know its time for a dc and good shampoo...so by the end of the month when I take my kinky's out Ima do it.....plus I miss my hair yea I can understand when ppl say they miss they hair!!! Great tips....I might use them :)...Stay Blessed....
Might I suggest the Tresseme Naturals, It is also desgined to be a Rinse Out Condish. However, It doesnt contain the heavy silicones that the Moisture Rich does. I use it as a leave in when I 2 strand twist or Braid my neices hair. AND SHALL I SAY! Her type 3/4 hair LOVESSSSSSSSSSS it. Merely a suggestion, your hair is feirce heavy silicone or not:)
Thanks for sharing this great information! I defintely will be making note of these steps as I am trying to simplify but maxamizethe affect of my washing regimen! Thanks for the always great info! Have a wonderfully blessed and safe week!
@LongHairDontCareLLC Wow, I'd like to see how you do that. If I washed my hair in one big clumb it would be huge tangled mess...lol...washing in four sections makes for an easier time for detangling.
@asimah07 LMBO! that varies so much depending on the style i'm wearing! i'm so low maintenance it's crazy! i'm not a daily moisturize type person, i don't tie my hair up every night, i'm not a big protective styler...who knows, i might get around to doing a video about weekly hair maintenance on a few of my staple styles.
@77deerose you are so right "FINALLY" a complete hair regimen video! you've been following me for a grip, too, so you know all about what i've been going through! i so appreciate you sis, i hope you know :)
@nigerianflower wetting your hair as a whole raises your hair's natural pH since nothing dry has a pH - including hair. so water or aloe juice or whatever, when applied to dry hair, "raises" the hair's pH thus lifting the cuticles :)
I been following you since LHCF days when you were talking using the shikakai conditioner mix and MBL challenges. Much success on your continual hair quest.
@SaSSyb4ClaSSY GIRRRRLLLLL you been following me a lonnnng time! thank you so much sister! you have seen ALL of my experimentations, failures, successes, hits, misses, loves and everything in between! and i thank you for that! *bighugs*
Very simple. I like your approach. I've decided to transition to natural finally! I was back and forth about this decision for a year. After watching and subscribing to your channel, your encouragement to transition without the big chop made it easier for me to decide.. Thanks!
@avalovesify thank YOU, sis! and congratulations on your decision to transition! going natural was the best thing i ever could've done for my hair...and that's REAL! take your time with your transition, when it's time to BC you'll know! good luck!
@VIBlackBerri no reason other than i have it in my cabinet...i use what ever shampoo for no particular reason. but knowing what i know about what a neutralizing shampoo does [pH balance, chelate, clarify, etc] seems like i made a pretty "good" choice this time lol
@lashawna07 OH! i'm not sure what it's formulated for, but it's labeled as a strengthening and conditioning cream...so i guess it's a little bit of both ☺
I like this vid because you kept it simple while others use like expensive and so many products

aloe vera juice will close your cutical because it is acidic. water has a ph of 7 so that is all you need to open your cuticals :)

Water alone will raise hair to a pH of around 7. Aloe vera will lower it to around 5 or so.
