I should mention, though, that I really like their studio recordings. I just think its a bad idea that they overproduce them (for instance, in the album version of this song, her part is clearly played on an electronic set). I think they also do something to his voice. Not insulting them, he has a good enough voice, just simply that it leaves their live shows sounding kind of flat, because its impossible for them to recreate what's done in post-production.... a shame, b/c their songs are good

Ironically enough, i viewed this video because i wanted to be thorough before posting on another Matt&Kim vid that I think her timing sucks. Don't get me wrong, theyre talented songwriters, and I love her passion. Wasnt it funny for me to find like 60 comments on here corroborating what I had thought. (I wanted to be sure, because I am a huge music fan, but no expert on theory/notation)

I'm catching those mistakes here and there and they really need no excuse. I've never been to a Matt and Kim concert yet but the complex BPM changes and random nature of the occasional "mistake" make one feel like they are at the moment of creation and not at a "concert". Just my musical oppinion and I don't ever comment on music vids till like......now!

in matt's defense on the mistakes, I hear they get completely wasted at their shows... same goes for kim not necessarily keepin time incredibly well. If they waited to drink until after their shows they would probably sound much better during their shows

Matt can't even play the main riff once without messing up.

Their records sound great, but between Matt butchering the keyboard parts and Kim loosing all kinds of tempo. This recording is truly terrible.
