we had a "safe spot" for the excavators to sit on at high tide,,, this operator did not pay attention to the tide comming in and got caught doors deep before he realized what was happening... I gave him a couple of crane pads with my longreach excavator to get him up out of the water till the tide went out.......
incidentally, this is the same operator who sank another excavator in my other videos... i ran the orange long reach
@MrSimmo149 he should have never been in that postion to begin with.... like i indicated... we all had to stop doing what we were doing to lower down a couple of one foot by 14 foot wooden crane pads , so he could get up out of the water. it's not that hard to track up on top of the pads. but it screwed us with the time and effort to "rescue" him.
@proximxr yes, he was able to get up on the pads i lowered down to him... the tide rose about another foot and then subsided,, then was able to track to his safe spot for the night.
Well, the machine at least seems capable. :)
