  • @Ugallardo

  • @Semimodo so you are going to be a critic of someone who is more than probably a million times the guitarist you will ever be? stfu dude, this is flamenco it's of the rumba style. he has several books that teach several different types of flamenco and if you are comparing him to juan serrano or paco de lucia you are even more of a dumb ass than I take you for. Do your research on the history of someone before making ignorant remarks jack ass.

  • look at Michael Barrymore body language at 1:36. he even clear his throat.

  • There are some of us, who play very well in fact virtuosos who get annoyed at impostors like JM.

All really good artists are critical...that's part of the deal.

Now, go and listen to some proper Flamenco, that's if you can recognize it...

  • This guy is such a faker.

Paco Pena has done far far more to promote Flamenco and real Flamenco Guitar not this utter garbage.

  • Anyone who criticizes this should try playing it with the speed and clarity that Juan does. And remember, this is a very much shortened version of the original. The full version includes the very fast and very difficult alzapua sequences.

  • Basic???

    My ass,

    This takes lifetime training,

He did it one shot in front the camera! Anyone could miss but not him!

  • I saw this bloke last night, he played this tune. Amazing, fantastic!!

  • does anyone know where i can get a copy of this on sheet music i have one of his books, buts its instructional and doesnt have this in it

  • @MasterGoshinki

You can order it from Mel Bay Publications.

The book title is,, Andalucian Suite No.1 MB21933BCD

  • @MrDISCOVERY123 Those who can play music enjoy music...those who can't become critics.

  • @metalhead654

    Agree with 100%!

  • king of flamenco.... we love you....

  • pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff faut lui couper les 2 main a lui y c'est pas jouer

  • My lovely master. I miss u so much.

    wink

  • The interview is gobsmacked

  • nice hair

  • Like Barrymore innit. Gettin' his swerve on!

  • Ha, with Michael Barrymore. I guess before he drugged that bloke in his garden, fucked him with a chair leg and threw him in his swimming pool.

    Juan Martin was good though.

  • I've been learning this song for 3 days now, halfway through. But it's going to take weeks to be able to play at this speed. Incredible.

  • bu ne lan... biz daha akordan akora geçemede zorlanırken adam gitarla tek başına orkestra

  • Absolutely incredible, Juan is one of the main reasons flamenco is getting popular outside of spain.

  • saw him last night, absolutely phenomenal

  • fantastic

  • Maybe you should check out players, that can actually be considered as Maestro Flamenco Guitarristas... People like Paco De Lucia, Manolo Sanlucar, Vicente Amigo, Enrique De Melchor, Paco Peña, Paco Cepero, Pepe Habichuela etc etc... For example in there ---> is the video of "Juan Martin Tarantas". Listen to that and after ur done write "Fuente Y Caudal - Paco De Lucia". Listen to it and compare... Tho Juan is a cool guy anyway =)

  • Oh shut up you Big Girls Blouse! Bitching on like a Nancy Boy, go and put a frock on or something!

  • @GuitaristaDeFlamenco Why on earth would you want to compare this guy to the players you've mentioned? Maybe you should check out Anton Jimenez in puerto Rico. We've all heard those other guy's but so what. This guy really is amazing and no one else has ever played like him but i still would'nt waste my time comparing him to Juan Martin. Why dont you check out Anton and evaluate your own playing ability?

  • @economistery Okay im sorry, I didnt think it trough :/

  • My - goodness. Allow me to pick up my jaw...

  • hahah you are so right about that hostXD

  • haha

  • 0.50 the guy in black suit(Host of the show) he is thinking oh man i wish i could have picked up guitar instead of doing tv shows:P

  • It looks like Micheal Barrimore, who is a famous British comedian, very funny man.

  • This guy is incredible

  • Ahhhh...this is Heavenly. To hear and also see him play is magical. Thank you for the video.

  • OLE! Tremenda rumba!

  • All guitar teachers wish they could also be successful artists. Juan Martin happens to be good at both. If he didn't have such skill at teaching, he probably wouldn't be that famous right now... but so what? He's good enough for a five star rating, at least on this vid, and his teaching materials are excellent (IMHO). Some musicians are super-tight, Juan Martin is just fun to listen to :)

  • Nobody in the English speaking world has done more to promote flamenco than Juan Martin.Period.

  • @mnbv990 he is the best teacher for flamenco

  • Comment removed

  • The best.

  • I saw him in Spain this summer and he played 'real flamenco'!

  • what you are trying to say ,man ? Juan martine one of the best flamenco players in the history of Spanish music

  • Comment removed

  • But you gotta agree his books are the best materials for a beginner in flamenco.

  • How he can pick, strum and tap for rhythm all at once is beyond me.

I still need to concentrate fully when I am only picking. Good grief. How anyone can criticize him blows me away!

  • Strange- in some ways it's amazing in other ways he messes up quite a lot and rushes- seems to have managed to become very famous without half the precision and technique of most top flamenco players- but I guess he just sounds good.

  • that's not human anymore,haha,he's awesome man !

  • my mouth was open the whole time

  • I needed no dictionary to find the right word to discribe this. Many jumped into my head. "Bollocks" pretty much covers it and JM

  • Yawn...you sad knob jockey.

  • I had to use my old dictionary to find a word to describe this!

    PRODIGIOUS

    5*

  • How can that possible be basic???

I know there are harder songs around but this is not a simple flamenco piece!!!

    Could you play it???

  • @guitarvideo999 If you read his flamenco tutor books, a lot of the techniques he is using here are ones that he goes through and explains early on and are basic fundamentals for flamenco. They're very hard at first because it's a different way of playing but once you get the hang of those devices then stuff like he's playing here becomes a lot more simple than it sounds

  • @guitarvideo999

It's really not that bad. There are some flamenco style techniques which can be hard to grasp if you've never done them. But if you have a reasonable grounding, it makes the song easier to learn.

But I agree, it's not really that basic yet there are more complicated flamenco pieces.

  • :O One Word AWESOME!!

  • awsome

  • holy shit :o :O :o

  • Flamenco guitar is friggin insane!!!!!

  • amazing !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Juan martin IS good. I have to say I personally dont like this piece. It a very difficult piece and the changes have to be fast and accurate. The problem i find is because of this i dislike that the notes dont have the chance to resonating long enough and most of the piece sounds rushed. Its a personal taste not a distructive criticism

Also Juan plays traditiional but dont reject the modern flamenco i.e.Vicente Amigo Flamenco has always been about evolving. good luck guys

  • i love this piece. i ordered the sheet music yesterday-I will rock!!

  • Darn amazing!!

  • paul holmes!

  • Damn, I can't even hold a candle to Juan Martin; The guy is amazing.

  • pro...

  • and then barrymore fucked him...

  • Up the bum bum.

  • OMG

  • Bravo...bravo..bravo..

  • now all he needs is a whammy bar and a marshal stack.

  • guitar master

  • one is a killer guitar player and the other idiot introducing him is a ..........

  • yes a true guitar god. But i wish he played it little slower.

  • A true guitar God

  • yeahhhhhhhhhh....

  • great

  • He has the best sounding guitars!

  • The master!!!!

  • awesome!

  • hey this playing is amazing!

    great stuff maestro

    keep it up

  • Olé Maestro!

  • hey can someone please tell me why most serious flamenco players kinda look down on rumbas? im new to the style, and like the rumbas sound the best....but i see alot of players talking smack about it.

  • never heard that before.

  • Yes, Rumbas do sound incredible. Rumba is frowned upon by the more serious players because it originated in Cuba, as opposed to Spain. So it's not traditional Flamenco. That's why. More modern Flamenco is employing stupid jazzy chords and things like that. Sounds fine, but... Tradition always holds class, ya know? Sabicas was probably the best ever, and he played traditional, whereas Paco de Lucia plays more modern stuff. Juan Martin too, obviously.

  • yes yes paco de lucia plays only modern stuff and with no Aire (soul). but juan martin is still traditional, and the rumba although overlooked by some is now pretty much part of flamenco.

    thank you for your time

  • I really feel bad for you VINCENT4500 I still don't know why you make this endless effort to make yourself THE MOST HATED ICON IN UTUBE which has made Juan the most loving one keep up. I doubt if you know anything about Flamenco. Definitely you know nothing about playing Flamenco or you would have POST A VIDEO to answer everybody who think just like I do. Most definitely you have no artistic mind, character or ability. You just don't have it therefore can't act like one. Juan is the man!

  • shit man! fucking awsome nr1

  • Wow - amazing

  • great .......amezing........unbeliveable

  • mostrerrimo O_O

  • mükemmel çalıyo

  • none of you argumentors here have any sense of humour, which given observation of your false idol above (Mr Mediocre/charlatan he is), one would think is the first thing you need..

  • Please do show us your skill

  • ps every time i see the rumba above i laughinly think 'do you Rumba Juan?', 'yes' he says in my minds eye, to which i reply 'well then take a rumba from one to ten and get the feck out of here!'...

  • balls richyricht! you mistake my passion and self-conviction for anger, maybye that's whay you mistook your tiny clit for a dick or vice versa? hwa hwa

  • WOW

  • That's amazing.

  • oh, i was talking to vincent4500. not juan. (-;

  • Incredible

  • i'm seeing him live in 2 hours!

  • hahah.. I just literally come out of his concert. Loved it.

  • does anybody have the tab or know were to get it

  • Omfg! this is the shiiieaat

  • This man is an artist of flamenco. Have you ever heard "Picasso Portraits"? In my opinion, it´s his best label, and the best label ever made on spanish music.

  • wow great playing do any of u guys no the name of the song martins playing

  • wow wat a dum ass

  • it's nice !! ^^

  • Absolutely awesome!!!

  • hey!!, i have a just uploaded a version i made of this rumba.. look in my channel.

    : )

  • That was awesome i loved it!

Can you please send me the music sheet for

    it thanks!

  • i have never met a great musician who has your anger. its only the mediocre ones who seem to be so full of hate. Maybe you are not expressing yourself fully with your music. Have you tried fishing or martial arts? It might help you to chill the fuck out, find some peace, and maybe even become an artist.

  • balls richyricht! you mistake my passion and self-conviction for anger, maybye that's why you mistook tiny clit for a dick or vice versa? hwa hwa...

  • O!! I am gonna see him tonight! I can't wait!

  • Olé maestro.

We all know that he is not Paco, but so what?

    Thanks for your music!

Flamenco is about feelings, el duende está ahí, a veces aparece en un concierto y a veces no.

  • hi - yes i've seen juan play live here in uk - he was ok. i can't say he was fab cos i thought he wasn't. he lacked so much that a true flamenco player has. this tune incoporating the amount of wild tapping on the soundboard is just a way for juan to create a unique style of his own and nothing more. I totally agree with vincent paco IS much better and even he doesnt need to do all the tapping to sell his music. Juan definately lacks passion

  • vincent4500 - u really are a thick turd. go and get some manners, humility and get shot of the childish attitude and come back and talk properly . understand ?

  • You are like an empty drum the harder the hit the louder you sound. You have been asked several times to post a video, but never addressed the issue nothing but shying away from it do something +ive vessel Johnny good fellow don't just be a big mouth. Why don't you admit what it really is that you have against Juan?! Nobody has any respect for ghosts like you some people hate you so much so bad.

  • Who's forcing u to listen to Juan? Why're u everywher Juan/his fans are? What u mean"I accept Juan is spanish"? Eazy, who are u? Who cares? Are u insane? U haven't proved any point but making a lot of enemies. U are the one who's trying to rape Juan's reputatoion & he's been very patient about it evryone else would get a lawyer and teach u the lessons u've missed in life.Juan is a tuf guy someone told me u've been rejected by Juan as an student who coulden't play a simple 12 bit compas. Be real.

  • u talking to me ?

  • Oh no. Celmondo's replying to vincent4500 guy

  • o lol do u maybe no wayr i can get the tabs for this song... man juan rocks

  • Learn how to do the rumba rhythym. That's the most impressive part of the song...the individual notes are pretty simple and you can find them in many rumbas.

  • i don't no how i can play good but no were like juan

  • Exactly right DerDrache. Its the rumba technique that most be learned. I play Juan's Rumba Del Dia Nueve and the notes are basically the same as this rumba. It's the rhythm and timing the differs. Good point.

  • can i have the notes. please

  • Vincent, you have an agressive and angry tone in your comments. Maybe you just don't understand flamenco guitar. You think it's all about showing of and see who has the best technique in his right hand with all the golpe's and rasguados. True flamenco is the sound of it. I've been a classical guitarist for 7 years and after that I started flamenco with juan martin's video's. He's one of the true artists in flamenco and there is no need to say he sucks just because you like paco de lucia

  • Ok. tough guy, I'm not saying I'm the best guitar player that there i, but if you're so ful; of yourself post up a video, maybe I'll give in.

  • Whoever you are give up you are not getting anywhere because you don't show a sign of artistic decency never mind ability nothing but acting like a drunk bam. Some one who has rehearsed with the bests in UK, been playing for 13 years should be able to come up with something some kind of practice to back up his preach!! What is it that scares you and makes you feel so insecure what are you hiding from why are you so scared from your real self.

  • Miss me? Do you have anything else to do in life other than bullshit? What reflects in your playing? Where's your playing? What an obnoxious dug bark! You are Paco's dog. Even Paco de Lucia or Tomatito would probably want to slap you around. Don't get me wrong I love those guys so much that I would probably take a bullet for them but it's just you! What a disgracing human! Go to hell don't make any more enemies. Go ahead I gave you enough reasons to sewer and go through the roof. Lose my name.

  • I saw this guy live a coupla years back. He was insane!

  • He is on T.V and you are not! Sour grapes M.F!

  • yaw abi ben sende ders alayım yaw:):):):):

  • tek kelimeyle mukemmel...

  • superlikenintendo ? what you say make no sense :s

  • I just say, this. God forbid any of us were ever good enough to get on TV or release a DVD, there would be so many plain haters out there who would crucify us. I don't know any other form of music that inspires such bile and hatred and plain snobbery. Leave the poor guy alone it's all just hype about being the best etc, good publicity you don't believe all those WHO stories or Rolling Stone tales do you. It's all about hype. Leave the poor man be.

  • You know, I've noticed that too. I really love the sound of flamenco, and I've been considering learning it seriously for a long time now, but my biggest turn-off has been the public that it generally tends to attract. I've never seen so much hate toward musicians in any other genre...

  • tabs please!

  • oleee maestroo

  • olee bien tocao

  • Psikopat bunlar :D

  • Just saw him in concert tonight. Living legend.

  • a great master of our times. wow what more can u say!

    Super, outstanding.Congratulations.He's a living legend.

  • Vincent and others... I just believe that we should not compare Artists in the first place. Art is greater than to be compared. Juan or Paco De lucia or paco pena all have tried hard a lifetime, and each have significant differences I believe. I just respect any artist. C.Cazalse (Great Spanish Violinist) once said " People say I play music as smooth as a bird sings. I wish they knew that how hard it is for the bird to sing each song" . ;)

  • harikaa!!!tek kelimee..

  • Ole que arte!

  • this song is called Le Feria from the cd Musica Alhambra.

By the way fans, im going to get lessons from Juan on the 25th this month in Yellowknife, and I'm going to watch his shows hile im there too. I can't wait

  • Good for you he is a very good teacher & a very honest man doesn't pay attention to his enemies. Please tell him Firooz from 70s said Hi. There are wondering losers behind any successful man.

  • I'm not gona bring myself down to your level to see where you are coming from. You are a sico there is no going tough or not you need help and I feel bad for you get lost.

  • Go boil yer edd twaT!!!

  • Please read my comments from top to bottom. Thanks

  • shut the copulation up! I agree Juan isn't bad, this all started when idiotic morons such as yourself started firing angry comments at me when I wouldnt agree Juan is better than Paco de Lucia, don't you get how pathetic and uneducated that viewpoint is? Juan is not bad, but that isn't saying he's a 'god', deductively speaking that's illogical right? nonce brains

  • WHY DON'T YOU GUYS RESPOND WITH A BETTER VIDEO THIS TIME YOUR HINESS AND LET EVERYBODY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF? WHAT YOU THINK Utube PEOPLE? DON"T YOU THINK THIS IS FARE & BETTER STATEMENT THAN WISHING THESE GUYS HOLD HANDS & JUMP OFF LONDON BRIDGE? Hey some people just love and admire Juan why can't you guys understand and live with it?

  • it's uncivilized and unlawful that's why guys like Paco de Lucia, Juan Martin and others never do it they have musicianship respect & artistic attitude they're stronger and better people they're gentlemen they let their action talk for them. So like you've been asked so many times,

  • Listen you...OK! No more verbal abuse here. Regardless of what you may say or think that's what people are getting "Juan is bad" Nobody ever said he is better or worth than any one, even if they did, still you can't make it your business and engage in an unfair practice it's not right,

  • Please read my comments from bottom to top. Thanks

  • . They are amazed & very jealous with Juan's fame and success & can't stand listening to his followers & admirers. They should all shut the fuck up and go suck Juan's dick for beer money. Juan Martin doesn't give a flying fuck to them or their comment or their ratings.

  • All these arrogant assholes are a few low life guitarists some may be local I can even name them who are absolutely NOBODY who hide behind # of different phony names. You can tell how busy they are in real life by counting the # of their stupid bull shit comments in Juan's or his follower's videos soon they are gonad have to hire a bitch to this for them. They are waiting to see where did Juan shit so they can sit down and eat.

  • On Bulerias by Ricardo Andalus from "obiedx" a young aficionado learning by Juan's method, I saw this comment from "dantesque1"

"I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW PRECISLY WHAT YOU ALL HAVE AGAINST JUAN MARTIN, HE IS NOT BAD FOR GOD SAKE!!! I DON'T GET IT!!! I don't blame you sir, nobody gets it & we all hate it but let me tell you what's going on because I'm familiar with UK flamenco.

  • Great video, Im seeing him play soon i cant wait to c him live

  • Nice video thanks for posting!
