beautiful arches. slow down your sousous and echappes:

watch this video again and look at your sousous. i think a large part is that you are going to fast, but you aren't up all the way or crossed tight enough. (my teachers would always say when i was little "one foot with two heels in sousou!" )

your echappes were a bit sloppy (turned in, not all the way over). but if you slow down and focus on engaging your muscles you will notice a great improvement in your echappes.

@whiteneon56 if you start ballet when you are 9 and under you will be training all your life to make your lelgs and ankles sronger. Yet in life without ballet you dont get as much training but you still strengthen your legs and ankles, therefore if you start around 11-14 it may take you a year or so to get en pointe. Well, this is what I was told. My sister is 24 and has been en pointe since she was 10.

If your ankles are strong and u have lots of technique, your teacher will move u on to pointe. as long as ur ready. dont be upset if u dont make it onto pointe. i'm still trying but all i can do is try to improve and wait. some poeple get on it earlier just keeping trying! :) good luck

That question is almost impossible to answer. Every dancer has "their shoe". You know, the shoe that looks, feels, and cooperates the best with their foot. The best way to find "your shoe" would be to go to a professional fitter. You can try on lots of different ones, and they can help you find the one that looks and feels the best. But make sure you go to a store with a big selection, and idealy, your teacher would come too. I hope this has helped! Getting your first pair is a big step.

wow! the beginning was very good! the shoes look great on your feet and after a month your skill is pretty high.. the only things that i would suggest are:

-when you pull your feet up into susu (spelling?) make sure that you get as tight of a fifth as possible

-get all the way up on your pointes every time you jump
