Rizzo was around before Muppets Tonight. He was in Muppets Take Manhattan and I'm pretty sure he was in the Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson Special...

he actually was on The Muppet show w/Christopher Reeves, and then later in muppet caper and manhattan, etc. He was actually made by don salin as part of a group of rat puppets made out of bottles and steve whitmire started making clothing for him, made the character and bam!.. he's awesome.. i like how he paired up with gonzo in the 90's... pepe fits nicely in this bunch
