  • i had one of these, they start to lose color when you use them alot

  • wooww japanese!!!!!!!!!

  • @KurisutaruMizu ehmm they dont sell it just in japan....

  • Sodium Acetate.

  • You can make this, look up, "Hot Ice"

  • o-o I want one too....

DX DAMN WHERE THE HELL CAN U BUY SUCHA THING?!

  • This is just a chemical reaction from sodium acetate, no o:?

  • what is this for?

  • @jessymessy65 its a hand warmer, when the liquid crystalizes it creates a lot of heat.

  • she said it looked gross then she said it was awesome o-o

  • @xTakenaga and then she said you where a weeaboo

  • @xTakenaga

=O YOU SHOULD BECOME A SUBBER, YOU'RE SO SMART.

  • @xTakenaga Just like the Listerine Agent Cool Blue commercials...

  • @impiccolomofo Look up "Hot Ice" You can make his.

  • @xTakenaga and at the begging she said yes

  • the cemical reaction generates heat and become solid crystals not ice

  • Soo when you boil it do the solid crystals go back to a liquid so that you can watch the chemical reaction all over again?

  • yep...

  • It's sodium acetate. They do various demonstrations with supersaturated solutions in chemistry. The heat lasts about half an hour, which is much less time than disposable hand warmers. You can repeat the process many times. Boiling the warmer dissolves the crystals back into its liquid solution.

  • does it become a solid?

  • I used to have a hand warmer just like this (different brand) and it got really hard after I used it.

  • @watermelontwister thats why you boil it

  • after it has been completely cooled off you wrap the heart around with a towel or cloth and place it in boiling water for approx. 10-20mins.

  • I assume this means that after you have used it once you must heat it up manually if you want to continue using it as a warmer. So you only see this chemical reaction once (the first time you use it) and never again?

  • no, wen the cemical reaction happens, the whole thing goes hard so u cannot heat it again useing the metal piece, need to boil it so all the cristals can disappera so then u press it again and it works.

  • no, you can reuse it

  • how do these things work

  • the liquid was Supersaturated (sodium nitrate.. acetate??) so when we pop the coin, some of it will break out and start the reaction, the heat come out when the reaction take place made the heart warm up <3

  • How long does it last? The ad says it is semi-permanent, which is almost like saying nearly later.

  • Yea I was wondering the same thing. Is it a one time thing?
