He has drawn comparisons to Drew Brees, not in terms of intangibles, but with their mechanics being so similar.

Kolb sure does look promising and had two decent starts last season. The thing is, it's so hard to get the QB draft choice right. Eagles hit the jackpot with McNabb, but what are the odds they hit it again with Kolb? I am optimistic, but won't get my hopes up. We'll just have to wait and see this season.
Despite what everyone says McNabb is a hall of fame quarterback. I dont think anything Kolb does will overshadow anything that McNabb has done unless he wins the superbowl of course. McNabbs numbers are ridiculous. 4 out of 11 seasons he went under 3,000 yards. Every season he had except one was under 13 interceptions. He has a better interception percentage than Tom Brady. Lastly he played the vast majority of his career with pure garbage at wideout. For 5 years Chad Lewis was his best wideout and he's a frigging TE. Regardless if it was his time to go you can't argue his body of work. Teams lose, not just QB's, they just get all of the credit or all of the blame. Andy Reid is a poor playoff coach, period.

Kafka has amazing work ethic, he is the type of player that you need in your locker room. He has good accuracy, but not much arm strength. He has amazing instincts, and is a smart player. Decent athleticism and scrambling ability as well, it definitely is not a flaw. He will be a solid backup for the Eagles, and he can give you a start here and there if you need him to. He should develop good under Reid.

The Eagles had a better Oline than the Skins do today and they couldnt even protect mcnabb all that good cause he hangs on to the ball to long. @JuicySausagexx Yeah he was a really good player coming out of Houston, it helps for us Eagles that he had a small speedy target back then in Donny Avery, so we know he hasn't been spoiled with big, overwhelming recievers. His key traits are his quick release and accuracy, his arm is good enough to make the throws he'll be asked to make. He has drawn comparisons to Drew Brees, not in terms of intangibles, but with their mechanics being so similar.

Now the main problems of quarterback, coach, and offensive line are solved. Our already-good defense is also switching to a 3-4 which will be productive if Haynesworth decides he won't be a whiny bitch.
I don't see what we lack now besides receiver, and if we can grow some balls to make bold moves and sign TO or trade for Vincent Jackson, we are all set.
The Eagles.. Kolb is a crapshoot... McCoy is OK but just OK, and their defense is subpar.

Kolb sure does look promising and had two decent starts last season. The thing is, it's so hard to get the QB draft choice right. Eagles hit the jackpot with McNabb, but what are the odds they hit it again with Kolb? I am optimistic, but won't get my hopes up. We'll just have to wait and see this season.

Despite what everyone says McNabb is a hall of fame quarterback. I dont think anything Kolb does will overshadow anything that McNabb has done unless he wins the superbowl of course. McNabbs numbers are ridiculous. 4 out of 11 seasons he went under 3,000 yards. Every season he had except one was under 13 interceptions. He has a better interception percentage than Tom Brady. Also he's first in all the Eagles QB statistics. We lost a great quarterback. Eagles all the way

Lastly he played the vast majority of his career with pure garbage at wideout. For 5 years Chad Lewis was his best wideout and he's a frigging TE. Regardless if it was his time to go you can't argue his body of work. Teams lose, not just QB's, they just get all of the credit or all of the blame. Andy Reid is a poor playoff coach, period.

@KNJ3 Now this is some sense. People talk all day about his "McNugget" passes to the dirt, but I'd rather those than balls thrown to the other team. Andy Reid just has so much faith in the system, in "Plan A" that never has a "Plan B". The result is games like the Raiders game last season, and all 3 Cowboy games. I think Kolb will be good in transition, but he just might get slaughteered if they make the playoffs with him at the helm because of his play style.

Kafka has amazing work ethic, he is the type of player that you need in your locker room. He has good accuracy, but not much arm strength. He has amazing instincts, and is a smart player. Decent athleticism and scrambling ability as well, it definitely is not a flaw. He will be a solid backup for the Eagles, and he can give you a start here and there if you need him to. He should develop good under Reid.

rewatching these highlights i now notice kolb has the style as aron rodger but not the same arm. kolb rolls out the same. but i will say kolb has a quicker release, and tends to stare down the WR just a lil too much, but hes better now..
