  • That is how shitty GM survived

  • That greedy son of a bitch!

  • Ford is the only one turning around a profit

  • Rick Wagoner is prime example of corporate greed and ignorance. Think of all the lives of the gm workers he wrecked with his poor decisions.

    oh but hes "Harvard Educated"

  • I hope they all go bankrupt. They are responsible for the destruction of the Pacific Electric Rail. They have earned their place in history as destructive corporations. They knew that destroying the rail system would sell more cars so they did it knowing that the American people could never rebuild the system, it would be too expensive. These decisions were made by deceptive and souless men.

  • if they still make the EV 1 by now they could still make big bucks by now however, they didn't. so they focus more on fuel guzzling SUV' s, trucks compare to cars. and they wanted a bailout. I believe the CEO s should go back to basic salary. they have a lot of money. so why do they have to use our taxpayer dollars to fund the big 3 to cover their mistake???!!

    GM = guzzling money

  • plus the recession has been caused by the Greedy ceos and greedy traders at wall street putting the toxic debts board to trade on. It makes me sick to where I want to puke. I think that we all need to trim former officials salaries and force them to sell part of their homestead and farmland. Plus force their kids to work in cheap public system to bring them up like we all have to slave for the dollar. what ya think?

  • I feel like that the TARP initiated by Bush is a joke for all corporations. Its just another mess that Obama has to clean up. We need another party in office to clean up this America from top to bottom. Namely the Constitutional party.

  • the reason for the money asked for borrow is to support lavish lifestyles

  • They have multi-million dollar salaries, fly around in their company's fleet of private jets, and live a life style that would make Ted Turner look like a derilict, and they come to Washington, and have the balls to ask Congress for 25+ billion of our tax money? HELL NO!!Let them give up part of those salaries, start using the airlines like the rest of us. if they don't want to, then they can get the fuck out, they're not getting any of my money, not to use on those private jets.

  • amen bro. tell it like it is. Let me join you in protesting the bailout.

  • Search 'Taken For A Ride' on google videos

  • Its embarrassing that the government keeps dishing out big money to a company whos people are greedy and unreasonable.

  • Fuck you Rick Wagner

    GM rules

  • " i dont quite understand what the hell you just told me" that was halirious

  • Comment removed

  • he was the one that killed the EV-1 project

do you think if they had been selling EV1s the last 5 years l they would be asking for bailout money ?

they gamble their future in the SUV and lost

so he lost his $16M a year job after driving the company to the ground but hes going to the bank after collecting his $22M bonus

maybe he said fire me and gimme the money

  • Well Rick is going out as CEO come Monday 3/30/2009 . He has done nothing good for G.M. Get lost.

  • Well its March6/09 and now we all know it is official that GM can't survive on it's own any longer. Official auditors of the government have declared that GM is dead. Chrysler is next, probably by next year it will be gone too.

  • NOTHING HAS HAPPENED they spent the original bailout money and asking for more !!

    GM=Give Money !

  • More like GIMME Money... greedy motherfuckers.

  • isn t it funny the big three has 0% on some vehicles now and $15,000.00 off just to sell there cars. that must mean they put the screws to us bigtime all these years. let the fuckers go bankrupt and start over. there isn t no car worth more than $40,000.00.

  • why dont all the employees take a $2.00 pay cut, i had a guy tell me to go fuck myself yesterday,a gm worker,i said to him, well then i guess i ll see you working for 14.00 an a hour and then you will think about what i said, you dumb fuck

  • Union gets paid to much for what they do! They're all greedy bastards and should have their pay cut in HALF!

  • If it was up to be, all unions would be outlawed, declared to be terrorist groups, then hammered with both RICO and the Patriot Act. Their assets and property would be seized, their members and supporters would be executed or sent to Gitmo to do butt pyramids with their mudscum butt buddies.

  • Agreed, union is absurd for the auto industry!

  • For all industries. Look what they did to the airline, textile, steel industries, the schools... everything a unions gets into gets turned into shit.

  • Unions are the reason why work conditions have improved so much.

  • Those improvements forced the companies to leave the country or go out of business. Thanks for nothing, fucking union goons! The union thugs should go into a business they'll be good at, like a casino, a brothel, or murder for hire outfit.

  • Union thugs? And who are you, some corporate bastard?

  • Shut up, Darrel, you said that a thousand times.

  • Because it's true, dumbass!

  • Buy American demand it request it. Tell stores to sell more USA products. Companys old and NEW !!! to make products here 100% USA. Go on line if stores dont have them. Buy USA or Buy American you will find many products there. Lets put Americans back to work with safer better products and wages. The race to the bottom must stop. Dont be a sheep to the rich thinking it better to make them richer and you poorer. At the expense of your fellow American brother and sister.

  • you're an idiot

  • Only way to do that is to deport the illegal aliens that are stealing legal citizen jobs and filling up half our prisons!

  • Chrysler's owner has hundreds of billions of assets, but they don't want to lose money so they are asking for a government handout. Then they will turn around and sell off Chrysler so they don't lose money.

WHY is the government subsidizing a car company that isn't even broke?

  • go to hell..dumb-Auto CEOs- fuc_ all your bonus-someday the people will rise up againt you rich bast rd- Kid are dying from starvation and sickness..and you act like pigs--your day will come

  • LET

    THEM

    DIE.

they had a chance to build a energy efficient car that didnt produce gas, THEY DID. and then they realized that no money would be made... so they scrapped the project in 01 and guess what was on teh road next year

    HUMMERS

    LET

    THEM

    DIE!

  • great video , but QUESTION ?? IF we're all lossing money ???? " WHO " is gainning all the MONEY ???? his anyone woke ? yet

  • In the name of Free Enterprise let the companies that are failing let them fail. Why throw money to fuel failures in business to fail again? Why not give money to successful companies or at least a tax break so growth can be possible.

  • Protectionism!!

    stupid american loves doubletalk

  • off with there heads!

  • what about the EV1 that GM took back from everyone!!! FU*K GM and the stupid volt wont even work WTF STUPID FU*KERS

  • The Chevy Volt isn't meant to work. Thats the point here. its a carrot for us to sniff so they can keep building gasoline fueled cars.

What killed the EV-1 was new technology. GM put Lithium batteries in the EV-1 and was shocked to find out it suddenly had a 200 mile range, which instantly made it competitive with their internal combustion engine line.

GM doesn't want new technology because they would have to re-tool their factories.

  • What happened to if you open a business and it fails then your business is closed?! And I am sorry, but if you are going to go to congress to beg for money because you will go out of business if you don't get it, should you REALLY be riding in your own private jets to get there?! Just because people didn't buy their cars doesn't mean we need to punish the whole country. (FYI, Ford had the #1 selling vehicle in the US, the F-150)

  • We gave $700 billion dollars to the financial sector with no strings attached or conditions. They send their executives on lavish vacations, give huge bonuses to their employees, and now need more money from the bailout. The auto industry needs about 1/50th of that and people are complaining. It's such a double standard that we give nearly a trillion dollars without conditions to the financial giants but yet we bitch and moan about giving such a small amount in comparison to the car companies

  • I think its BS that we even gave anything to the financial sector, the government was stupid for approving it without any strings. They threw a 200 Billion party in the Caymens saying, not to worry, business as usual at AIG, its like, yep....same greedy assholes they always have been. They should have set up terms with them just like the auto industry. BTW, to me.....$25B isn't really too small of an amount. $700B was ridiculous.

  • The real question is "do we believe in free market or not"?

  • exactly

  • True story.Today i was walking through the parking lot at work this guy couldnt start his car.I allmost stopped to help cause im a mech. But it was a Honda so i kept walking.

  • I heard that Nanjin automobile(chinese maker)

is going to purchase GM with the help of chinese govet.

  • kentsuper100:

    That probably won't happen.

There have been rumors that Toyota will buy GM, and they can do that if they try. But there's a hidden cost stopping them from buying, and it's so huge that considered one of the biggest reason why GM is unable to compete against other auto makers.

It's the health care cost to the current workers and the retired workers.

  • As far as American cars being junk.... My 1998 Dodge Dakota has 263,000 miles on it and is still going.

  • My 1999 Dodge Caravan is on its 4th transmission. It seems Dodge couldnt be

bothered to spend the $30 to use metal

washers and grommets instead of cheap

    plastic...it has cost me $3000.

  • I agree they could be built better. I also think that if the current tax system didn't cost them so much, they might use better parts instead of cutting costs on cheaper parts so they can afford the tax bills.

  • Remember that this is a LOAN as opposed to the wall street GIVE-AWAY. Answer me this...why is it that Republicans preach a totally free market society for SOME industries (read that BANKING), but yet when the mid-west manufacturing base with organized labor asks for a LOAN, the Republicans, all of a sudden, want to legislate the internal business practices of an industry? I say give them a LOAN (to be repaid), or let them go bankkrupt. Those are true Republican ideals.

  • hydrojerk:

You are assuming auto industry will recover and will make enough profit to pay it back.

They have been not only unable to keep the balance but losing money for many years. How realistic is that?

You know what's more realistic? After they run out of bailout money in several months, they'll be asking another, and probably bigger money.

  • The companies don't pay tax for the money they spent for the material, it's deductible.

Foreign auto makers who have the factory in the US pay the same tax rate, so it's not a good excuse.

  • I wonder how much of this auto crisis was caused by gas prices goung way up. People demanded large SUVs and the suppliers met that demand. Gas prices pulled the carpet out from under the SUV market. Also, how much did it cost the big 3 to try to meet the goverment's MPG standards and to meet the deadlines on EV development. The government says meet these standards, that will cost you billions, or we will fine you. Then they're not sure if they should help out the big 3.

  • GM CEO MAKES 54,000$ A DAY!!!!!

  • FU you gambled your futurre on the SUV and ga guzzlers and you lost Game OVER !!

  • Perfectly said emforty2

CEO of GM makes 20 million a year...

Simple question for you guys I think for 20 million a year he should of cut back before instead of waiting, fire his ass. Im sure with current unemployment that GM could find a guy to run it for only 1 million a year and do a better job.

Hey but then again its only 20 million no big deal, pocket change

  • Consumers don't have the money to buy these cars. "The Average Joe" can't afford the luxuries. The Big CEO's of these car makers have all the "lap of luxury". Giving themselves huge raises, "Chrysler", "FORD", and "GENERAL MOTORS" CEO's leave the Bankrupt companies in a "Golden Parachute". They never have the money to hire more people to work. Now so many people are "Out of work". These Car maker "Female Executives" spend the money for manicures, pedicures, and flying in these "Private Jets"

  • Thats the irony.Someone living in thier Toyota Corolla becuase they lost their job. That cheaper car has really worked out for you.Divided we fall.Talk about greed. The hell with the team I got mine.Temporally

  • AMERICANS you did a fine job telling how important it is to buy American products from food to autos from USA companys who make and have higher standards fairer wages for USA workers and must comply with laws of our nation and be held responsible when they dont. Unlike many other nations selling goods in our country. Its time for all of our states to support one another. And not be traitors to some foriegn country lining their pockets and to cause people in the USA to live worst off with less

  • Democrats pressure the financial sector to give high risk loans to low income and minority families so they can buy houses. They do this. Years later it all comes to a head and falls apart. That hits the economy hard. People lose their jobs and stop buying things like new cars. Gas goes way up and people stop buying the big SUV's that the people demanded and the big 3 supplied. This all started with Democrats wanting poor people to be trusted with huge loans for homes.

  • REPLY TO JBORITZKI - You are a fool that runs your pie-hole on what you hear from Rush Limpdick and OREALLY instead of doing research. It was your republican clowns (Phil Gramm) that pushed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that took controls off in 1999 that had been in place since the great depression that allowed banks to get into risky investment business. Then, when the markets crashed and trillions of dollars vanished, people lost their jobs and couldn't make payments on their homes.

  • Clinton signed it into law and recently stated this, "I don't see that signing that bill had anything to do with the current crisis. Indeed, one of the things that has helped stabilize the current situation as much as it has is the purchase of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America, which was much smoother than it would have been if I hadn't signed that bill ... On the Glass-Steagall thing, like I said, if you could demonstrate to me that it was a mistake, I'd be glad to look at the evidence." =]

  • Everbody gives the big 3 car companies hell over $30 bil. as they should but the BANKER CEOS get away with $750 billion to $3 trillion ....I SAY OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!

  • It would cost the tax payers 300 billion in lost tax revenue paying unemploymen etc if the big 3 fail. Its cheaper to bail them out with a "loan" Quit being stuipid. Yes it will take 100 billion in loans. And worth it

  • worth every penny unlike the $700 BILLION handout to the greedy bankers why do americans pay their taxes to a PRIVATE ORGANIZATION? billions each year for? yet us corrupt media screams about bailing out america's auto industry disgraceful behaviour from the media the us MUST have an auto industry n am not american they employ so many people they produced some very fine cars they deserve to be bailed out a lot more than the bankers did

  • If they need more money to fuel the jets.....let 'em sell blood/sperm like all the workers they laid off.

  • how much money they need to survive ? ok they are burning $2.6B or so a month so if we give them $25B they would have burned that in a couple of months now what then ?

so after 10 months $25BILLION IS GONE THEN WHAT

and this is just GM im not including Ford/Chrysler

no way they can retool or produce a green car in 10 months.

this is a CORPORATE WELFARE CHECK were handing by the BILLIONS

  • "We are writing a bill whereby the federal government will be the first to be repaid when there is some money," said Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass. Oh look Obamas buddy finding another Cash Cow i hope all you Obamabots are happy that the dems are going to throw more money at theses Titanics in the vain hope to keep them afloat.

  • greed is worse than a drug addiction. how much money is really enough for a greedy bastard. with that hand-out they are going to receive they are still going to cut a huge amount of jobs. this country is truly fu#@%$...

  • you know..its funny how these execs are asking for corporate welfare and feel their need is justified. And they're is portraying this as a do or die issue if the government (via taxpayers) do not take action.

but wait a minute...lets help out 95% of hard working people in this country who have lost their jobs (perhaps their homes)...and all of a sudden someone screams socialism!

    *cough* double standard *cough*

  • ..we go from the so called "trickle down" system where the rich get more and the others get less...to a quasi "trickle up" (lets take from not so rich to help the rich).

  • These are the same MFs who tell laid-off workers, with a smile on their face, to go flip burgers at Burger King when they lose their jobs. When you and I lose our jobs we end up on welfare, end up having to file for bankruptcy, move back in with family members or have to accept working in some low-wage crappy service industry job. But when these morons hurt everyone with their failures they got to take OUR money with their top hats stretched out.

I know it's bad to wish death on people, but....

  • Funny how Honda and especially Toyota, are always found guilty of patent infringements. The Prius is always in court. These two companies have to pay millions in royalties to the companies, firms, and people who they steal/copy technology from. In all factual reality, Toyota motor corp is actually ranked #1 on the Corporate Greed Hall of Shame. Read about it. These days, GM, Ford, Chrysler, VW, and Isuzu build the best there is.

  • rich beggin for more at the expense of others who have 0.0?% what they "EARN"(not already have, no earn)... AND its totally OK. we'll just have that responsibility put on us too since we all caused their downfall. Hopefully the CEO's might accept our apology since it was all our fault to begin with. save the hummers? FUCKING RIDICULOUS! FUCK YOU PEOPLE OF POWER i'll work and spend my money in some

other shitty country THAT PUT A FENCE AROUND EVERYTHING AND CLAIMED IT FOR THEMSELVES TOOOOO lol.

  • pathetic worthless government. if this keeps going i think i will be the first one to start killing all these worthless fucks. back in the day federal government was designed for one thing and one thing only...military. now, name one thing they dont have their hands in. them compared to the rest of the world. THEY MADE IT what it is. their in ca-hoots with big businessman(other powers) now so dont expect to be helped. the only way to tell them no would be to kill them.

  • Why don't these mf'ers sell some of their shyt and bail their own asses out. They've been living high on the hog now they want welfare. Let the rich bail them out. The average folks out here don't have the tax dollars to spare.

  • @acanawuppazz The employees pensions and benifits are insured by the government. Granted we dont have tax dollars, if we didnt bail them out the gov would have paid even MORE because the gov insured the benefits of all the employees. Taxes would have been 10 times higher.

  • Congress man sounds like more business person than Chairman of huge company...

  • gov't and business - hard to co-exist when there is fed reserve

  • How come congress acts so concerned to these guys? Not a peep out of any of them, when Bush shows up and demands $700 billion

  • Simple wisdon here.......regarding GM, FORD, and CHRYSLER execs.....these people are not smart enough to resolve the problems they have created.

  • The hell with GM, Ford, and Chrysler. This the U.S Goverment isn't a charity organization. When execs make millions each year and then come to congress begging for money I'm insulted HOW PATHETIC. They can't make money then they shouldn't get paid SIMPLE...Oh we'll give them the money and they'll just blow the money on bonuses, luxury trips and then we'll hear more excuses for them to have more later on...I'm glad I bought a Honda!!!!!!

  • Makes me pissed that the government would never think about helping us small people that maybe just need 2 or 3 thousand to get back on our feet, but they give money to some asshole who makes 200million a year.

  • these are the CEOs responsible to where the Big3 is now how they drove this companies to the ground by their ineptness.

they're are now shifting the responsibillity to the TAXPAYER[YOU!!] if YOU do not bail us out that its gonna be YOUR for fault. Im taking to YOU ! yes YOU ! the taxpayer. If we go down its beacause of YOU ! its NEVER OUR FAULT.

  • I guess this country only bails out big companys, f%$# to little man...

I saw Fords CEO will work for 1$ a year... hmmm guess he forgot to mention that hes still getting a 200 million dollar bonus.

  • Bank's are the one's that run the goverment not us.That is way they give the bank's what they wont!We all are fucked for years!!!

  • what do they wont?!?!

  • what about the banks?

for example citigroup got more than a trillion since 08 started and it is a bank own by a saudi.

  • Please give them $25b for bailout (or ransom be more appropriate?)

    1) give each of the CEOs $200 millions (that is a total of $600 millions) to kick them out of the companies. (if they can't make money for the companies, why pay them? No logic at all.)

    2) Then use the remaining sum to...

whatever you like, distribute amongst the big 3 nuts.

    3) Beggers with class, you can buy 3 Jumbo Jets & get a one way ticket to the moon.

Don't show your ugly faces anymore. (happy)

    4) Sick of them.

  • Good grief...get lost...you have no stake in MY country...

  • For God's sake I want some bailout money - I need a new truck. I say let them fend for themselves or fail. These idiots deserve to fail. They CEO's do not know how to run an effective company. They are idiots. Why put our tax dollars in the hands of bankers and auto companies - this is just a band aid. The only way to get us out of this mess is to help create jobs - we are a consumer based econonmy. Please call your reps and congressmen. This nonsense has to stop!

  • Here's a reorganization of brands;

GM; Eliminate Pontiac, Buick, Saturn, Saab & Hummer

    Ford; Eliminate Mercury & Volvo

Chrysler; Forget about them. Shut the junk down NOW !!!!!!!!!!

When all is said and done their would be 2 US automakers that will produce better built vehicles as leaner companies.

  • Boy, Rick Wagner spins more than the rinse cycle in my washing machine.

  • YAY LETS GIVE CROOKED AND BUSTED BANKS $700 BILLION DOLLARS TO BAIL THEM OUT OF THEIR OWN POOR MANAGEMENT!!!

but why the hell would we give the back bone of our industrial sector 1/28 that amount; it makes no sense to help them in their time of crisis. so what if its a much smaller amount than the banks 'need'.

This is exactally what congress is doing. It's pathetic and frankly I'm ashamed and disappointed at the fact that these are our leaders.

    SHAME ON YOU WASHINGTON, SHAME!

  • You're right. Thats what I thought. It's PATHETIC.

Stop and imagine that the congress has a certain reason to act this way. I believe the autoindustry WILL GET the money. Thats for sure. But...not...rightnow.

And there is reason for that.

    Think about it!

  • American Sheeple.

    "There's a sucker born every day" ~ B. Baily

  • All these people that say, hey let the auto industry fail, what they dont realize is that if millions of people lose their jobs then YOU will probably lose your job because there is going to be no one left to buy whatever goods or services your comapny sells. $700 billion to banks that created credit out of thin air and your going to cry about a govt. loan to the auto industry that actually manufactures something, damn near the last thing that the USA actually makes?

  • They should have sent UAW leaders to ask for help instead of the CEOs of the big 3 flying in their private jets...

UAW union leader negotiate dpretty good contracts with GM/Ford/Chrysler they would have done a bettre job asking for help here too...

At least there would have been more sympathy for the UAW working men&Women who's jobs are really on the line here.

  • P.S. I drive a Ford (when it starts)

  • big three ceo"s SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT IN THE WOODS AND HUNG...BIG DUMMYS

  • i agree

  • Even if the US bails out the big 3, there will still be massive lay-offs; its simply innevitable at this point. The 3 companies are far too big and equally as incompetent to succeed at their current state.

GM should be broken down into Chevy and Cadillac (Hummer should remain purely as a military commodity), Ford should be Ford and Lincoln, and Chrysler should be broken down into Jeep (their one and only brand that has any international staying power) and possibly Dodge if the market permits

  • where did you ever get the idea that there would be layoffs? Do you understand anything about labor management?

  • I dont see how there could not be layoffs. Although the 3 companies are big, a vast majority of their vehicles are essentially THE SAME VEHICLE with a different body and nameplate [Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, H2 Hummer, Cadillac Escalade]. The 3 need to downsize themselves and focus on vehicle quality over quantity. I dont think GM can continue operate as the mega-conglomerate of Chevy & GMC & Cadillac & Pontiac & Saturn & Hummer & Buick

  • The union would also need to either take a massive paycut or vote to dissolve itself altogether. The lack of government protection that forced the workers' hand in forming the unions to begin with is now gone. Thanks to unions, modern law now offers the same protection that workers have fought to get. But now the Auto Workers Union is corrupt and unneccesarry. No other automakers with factories in this country have a unionised labor force. The big 3 need to share in that in order to compete.

  • I am considering that production volume would not change, regardless of the labelling of the model. I also believe that there needs to be extensive renegotiation of all terms for contracts, inclusive of limiting retirees' benefits and eliminating current pensions.

  • A lot of people are saying screw em and let em sink...but it is the thousands of ordinary Joes who really get kicked in he teeth...those 3 cocksuckers walk away with golden handshakes....heads they win tails they win.

  • If the bailout is possible who will handle the money? Of course the CEOs.

  • I say start from within your own company. Sell the jets, take pay cuts, slow production down. Even tho the workers will not be making what they did make for a time, at least they will have a job. And the CEOs, make them live off the same they expect their workers to live off of. And please make some changes! Go back to the drawing board and start over with designing cars that we want! Oh!! And no bail-out!

  • big 3 take a hike. YOU LOSE AMERICA WINS. HAHAHAHAHA BEGGARS IN PRIVATE JETS

  • They don't even know how much money they need. OMG!

  • Actually, the congressmen was rather nieve. They legally cannot public disclose that.... its called the SEC.... a GOV SANCTIONED deal that says that they legally can't publicly disclose that information. The congressmen should have known that.....

  • So in a sense they shouldnt have told the public about the 700 billion dollars of taxpayer money they used to bailout the banking system. A good portion of that bailout still went to executive bonuses.

  • this is a scam suddenly now these CEOs care about lost jobs

werent they just firing and blaming us workers for their troubles

  • Big3 Auto should turn to Big3 Oil for Bailout Exxon etc... After all Big Oil are the direct benefficiaries of the Big3's gas guzzling SUV's.

OR ask Saudi Arabia, or any of the foreign country where they have manufacturing and assembly plants in... like the new plant in Russia.

    Leave the US Taxpayers alone!

It's not enough we buy your SUVs and the oil at $150/per fill up, now you want our tax dollars to bail your sorry asses out?

    NO WAY!

  • Anyone who thinks the bankruptcy of the U.S. auto industry might just as well happen is living proof the mental health of the nation is not too sparky at the present time...

  • These CEOs are full of crap! Screw them! Let them sink; they should file for bankruptcy like everyone else! Why prop them up for a couple of months, they will end up right back on the hill asking for more money!

  • My hovercraft is full of eels.

  • if they get $ - then I don't ever want to see another friggin car commercial on tv. Let them drown. US workers can work for Toyota, Honda, and Nissan - at least they build cars people want to buy.

  • OK, GM, $18B; Chrysler, $8B; Ford, $7B. Yep, That adds up to $25B all right!

Oh, and Goldman-Sacks thinks GM needs at least $22B.

  • Let me get this straight: GM needs $5B per month through next March assuming the economy doesn't get worse. Ford needs $7B because they EXPECT the economy to get worse.

  • These three idiots paid 60K to fly out to beg for money - niiiiice.

  • Wow, some trained beggars. "We need we need". Why not save the most viable 2, let them suck up the 3rd's market share, and if they beg again in 6 months, save just 1, and if they beg again, let them fail. There has to be an incentive. Oh yea and no salary for the CEOs and bonuses only if they make a profit. And bar them from accepting any other job offers for a year. Then they'll get their bailout deal. These guys are rich as fuck, let them take some risk and work their asses off.

  • Or maybe they'll come up with a better deal other than just "we need money". And get the unions involved too. Are they willing to accept temporary wage cuts?

  • "Well, Congressman, we make shitty cars that nobody wants to buy."

  • Can you say shit baggers..!Give us the people the money...Its ours anyway....Shit Baggers

  • This aint a auto bailout, this is a union bailout.

  • Beggars !

  • The Banking SYSTEM IS A PYRAMID SCHEME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its really only gm and Chrysler, the owner of ford had said last month that they had a rainy day fund. Gm and Chrysler have been doomed since the 90's , Now they need the bail out so they can merge.

  • hey auto CEO's.....how's this..... NO, we the taxpayers are NOT going to GIVE you 25 billion.....see ya in Chapter 11

  • What a load.
