Hey love the sound that things makes, what have you got the overlap set too and what have you got the crankshaft angle (in degrees) cam timing set too?
I have a greddy e-manage in my stock celica but dont know anything about it - I also have a laptop but being a secondhand car I am missing the programs etc. to use on the e-manage - can somebody help me on this whole installation etc. ? please?
so if i was to get a g-reddy e-manage and the hks 272 cams (i was actually interested in both of em before i saw this vid lol) and took it to a mechanics he should be able to install em right?
ok im a 'noob' when it comes to the mechanical side of cars so i was just wondering...if you wanted to put bigger cams in a 4age do you just 'put them it' or do you need do do something to the engine
You have to adjust the cams and timing. Every camshaft has an adjustment sheet, you need to try those setting 1st, and after you can tune it finally. If you want to go for high spec cams (lift >8mm, duration > 272) you need to work on the engine a lot, and also you need an aftermarket comupter too. Good luck!
Wow, what a nice engine You have! My future plans are very similar like your setup now. Your engine must be at least 155whp ~180 on crank but I think it's a 190hp setup.
My plans for next year:
Wiseco 12,5 pistons
AE101 ITB with Velocity stacks
How do you reach 8600 rpm? I would like to revving mine to ~8200 rpm. I have the dyno plots and It seems the peak power is very close to revcut :( so I need more rev.
i am running about the same setup 7rib block fully decked head 16v ported polished HKS 264 cams in /272 out TRD valve springs fully balanced and shaved crank .08 TRD head gasket Techno Square Tuned ECU TRD header making about 155 HP to the wheels
if i wanna replace the cams for my 86, does it require any other mods? tune up?

Sounds so rhythmic. You could do some kind of tribal dance to it.

7rib block
ported polished bigport 16V head
raised CR 11:1
HKS 272 cam
HKS valve springs
HKS oil up
lightened flywheel
TRD 4-1 header
Greddy intake
Dynoed 134 whp without Greddy EMB, with lean mixture (AFR~14). I think with the e-manage the engine can 140hp on wheels ~170hp on crank.
