The reason I put parantheses around the word "radical" was actually to make a distinction between the ways your religion is manifest. For example; when Muhammed lived in Mecca, he may have seemed rather peace-loving and all, stating that "there is no compulsion in religion". But from the moment he gained power in Medina, all this "tolerance" disappeared.
