  • I loved this mini series it is a fantasic movie. They actors & actresses were picked perfectly any other cast and this might not have made it. When I want inspiration I watch this movie; it picks me up and helps give me a kick in the pants to get me motivated. JUST LOVE THIS MOVIE

  • great now i don't have to watch the film

  • just read the book again! now i already read it 7 times...and still counting!

  • My Grandad passed away last year, this year my grandmother was going through his book collection and found this book with no picture on the cover she found this strange so opened it up to discover a little message for me that my Grandad had written 14 years ago, now I know why he chose this book. Thank you R.I.P

  • I'm starting to read the book and I'm simply falling inlove with it. It gives me the drive to survive from these challenges I have right now. I knew that the book came for me.. :)

  • wish i'd read the book 15 years ago!!

  • i read this book 15 years ago in Ghana, it took me 6 months to finish it.... and when i finally finished it, my life was never the same again. i made a decision to embark on a journey to become a woman of substance, and like Emma, i went through the 'thorns' and 'marshes' and today indeed i am A WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE with my own businesses. it was years of hard work finally paid off. God bless you Barbara Taylor

  • @RAPJOY1 Congratulations !! Good for you !!

All the best for 2012 & the bvery best is yet to come for someone like you..

  • Only romantic novel I have ever read - usually don't care for the genre, but this one captivated me. And loved the miniseries. Jenny Seagrove was exquisite, imo.

  • This and Hold the Dream were the best. I think it's sad they don't make miniseries like this anymore

  • @centexboiz amen

  • I absolutely LOVE this film!!! : ) It's one of my favourite films in the whole world. In fact I don't know anybody who didn't like this film.

  • This was the film where I first took notice of Liam Neeson's acting ability. Although, he was just a supporting actor in this story.

  • recognize the book ´s scenes in the movie And I believe that the fact scipped to 1985 when the year previously (Emma's birthday) was set in 1969 does not matter because the story it could happen at any time. If one day to make a Emma´s greats-granddaughter version movieI I suggest the name of a Russian actress, who work in mexican soap opera, called Ana Layevska (searchs en Youtube) for play Linnet Harte. I find she similar to Jenny Seagrove in Woman of Substance

  • a favourite book of mine!

  • i only found out about the three new books after TO BE THE BEST a year ago. i felt so silly not being up to date, i bought them months back.

  • chi sa dirmi se cè la versione italiana??

  • i read the book!the persond in the book dont look like them here!!Im disaapointed..and the locations are not always right

  • Thanks for sharing, one of the most lavish 1980's romances to grace the small screen.

  • Nice to see Jenny Seagrove, thanks.

  • Deborah Kerr is timeless beauty incarnate. Thanx for the post!

  • Thank You for Woman Substance´s video. You will have videos of jenny seagrove and deborah kerr in Hold the dream?
