live performances include moving around, which increases respiration rate...that and screaming are the reasons his cleans don't sound album quality...guess if he didn't move and get into the music, he'd probably sound better

ATR did good when i saw them...great musicians, been through loads of changes...the fall of ideals was the last album i truly liked entirely...the latest one is diluted down to radio play...congrats to them for the success though...they are laughing all the way to the bank!

Well Singing after Runting and Screaming will make you a bit raspy but Phil still manages pretty well. Randy from LOG has some bad nights too. Look up the one when they preformed the song Pathetic on late night with conan o'brien he was kinda dying it's because all of the metal vocalists really rely on maintenance but most of them are drunks and chain smokers or who knows what else. Just Sharing.

I really like ATR, but Killswitch is a much better band, no one is a better vocalist than Howard Jones.. Phil even admitted he wasn't. The ONLY thing I don't like about All That Remains is that they have a guitar solo in every single song. I like a good guitar solo, don't get me wrong.. but not in every song. All in all this song is amazing and All That Remains is a great band.
