Second, Only the 1st and 2nd gen eclipse gs-t and gs-x had the 4g63 engine that was in the evo up untill 2007. The Evo now used a 4B11T mivec engine. Third, go read the story. They took the fucking motor out of a 1st gen eclipse because they had a 6bolt block. Way stronger. Your a tool bag who knows nothing.

actually all evo's pre 99 were 7 bolt cranks with stronger rods and split mains like the 1gb and 2g dsm's. New evos are a 4g63 but they're backwards (timing is on the pass side). Technically evos had evo 4g63's but either way its still a 4g63...so you're both right haha

Yes but the 4g63 evo was from 1992.2007 after that they use the 4B11T. And the difference between me and the other guy is that i actually owned an eclipse..it was a 97 gs-t

Damn that stinks that u cant find anything. Yea actually my buddy had a lift so in January we took it apart at 107k miles and rebuilt the bottom end.(Eagle connecting rods and crank, JE pistons,Re surfaced head with brian brower stainless valves i put in. Had to order all the valve stem seals from the dealer..Like 8 bucks each their assholes.lol , Long story short, a coolent channel must have blocked up some how and im may i blew a hole in the back of the block and had to sell it for a civic.lol

I put about 1600 bucks intothe engine for all the parts because we did the work outselves.. I was running 14psi on a manuel boost controller...I think maybe the boost controller blew, but i really dont know, I saved the pieces of the block..lol Now I'm saving to do a b16 vtec swap in my civic sohc..lol so slow but hopefully not for long, I wanna throw an ebay 14b turbo on ti haha.

shouldda kept the dsm lol. Sucks about all that crap, its discouraging though. My 95 is actually the slowest car i've had...just recently went 11.65@126.  Dyno'd 476/441 torque on the bone stock 7 bolt. Shep stage 4 trans, ptt twin disc, non ball bearing 35r, twin walbro 255's, 1000cc injectors, etc etc...actually all basic stuff except for the clutch. 2g's are hard to make fast.

Yea...Newer cars can do so much more with less boost becuase of nwer compression ratios. I loved it though. The guy i sold it to actually never got it running and wanted to sell the shell back to be with a built 6bolt block for 800 bucks..I would have had to put it all back togerher but i didn't have the cash...I wish i did. Ohh yea, That twin disk must have given u nice smooth launches

Sheps 1g is a much different weight/build/chassis, not really comparable.

but Shep's awd 4cyl. record is INSANE none the less....

as is Rau's backhalved import/4cyl. record..

I love the NZ and AUS evo guys.... they are the real deal. no BS from them.

They build lighter evos with crazier tubs, rear diffs and tires.
