Each edge piece is numbered from 1 through 12 and corners from 1 through 8. From this, we can memorize the cubies that must be fliped and rotated depending on whatn we wish, by simply remembering their number, then through another to-hard-for-your-shity-brain process of memorisation we can permutate the cubies to their right position.

You're not allowed to scramble your own cube. Google (or search on YouTube) blindfolded solving and you will see that it is very possible to do this.
