  • A lot of people are saying which version is better. I personally think both are equally good. I like the fast-paced and slight trashy 60's feel of April March, and I like the mod 60's in-your-face feel of Francis Gall.

  • This version is a lot better because it sounds miore cheesy, like those 50's movie songs did. The overlly dramatic base guitar sound is classic American B movie 50's music. The fact that it's done in French isolates and frames the style, validating it artisticly, while there I was thinking it was the worst music phase our country would ever go through. The world watches everything we do.

  • The Weeknd - Montreal

  • the weeknd

  • Mois aussi..

  • je préfère cette version là,

  • chances of this getting sampled by The Weeknd have gone up imo.

  • @hd0t how did u know he would lol

  • @JayDanielsTV a lucky guess, i suppose. ha.

  • I would have done this more industrial, faster, and less instrumented.

  • @Porkcfish I'd like to hear that!

  • Je n'aime pas!!!! Mes oreilles!!!!!!!!!!!!! Je préfère beaucoup plus la version de France gall... Aïe mes OREILLES!!

  • @MidasII you're not french, right ? ;)

you can't tell "je préfère plus", it's not correct cuz "préférer" already means that you like something more than another. "préfère" is always used on its own : je préfère la chanson de France Gall.

Your french looks good tho and I didn't mean to be a jerk, but just to give u my opinion in a friendly way. ;)

  • original song: France Gall - Laisse tomber les filles (1964) - And the original is much more better.

  • @AndyMKordo I mentioned the original in the description to the video.

  • ez borzasztó már bocsesz

  • it's ok, France's version is a lot better.

  • ese coro es bien pegajoso

  • Stick out like a sore thumb

  • bella---

  • Very good imitation of France Gall. Gainsbourg wrote some excellent songs for France Gall.
