@oldfartrants There is a time after conception, about 2 weeks, where there is no real evidence of a fetus. So an early term abortion or the morning after pill, or birth control, i see nothing wrong with. The problem is after 2 weeks there is evidence there was a fetus. So there is no evidence of a crime if the fetus is aborted prior to this 2 week window. Taking birth control to prevent, is not a crime. There is NO CRIME unless there is a victim or property damage.

While I agree with you partly I have problems with people deciding the fate of others when it comes to life or death. The baby isn't just a part of the woman, it's not a thumb or hand or some random body part. It's a completely different being, another human separate and apart from the mother and father. if she wants to cut off her hand that's fine her choice. I'm personally not fond of abortion as I've seen the emotional and physical trauma it inflicts on women. Saying that, I believe that women are in charge of their own bodies and an abortion is between them and their doctors. But I think you got to the crux of the matter at the end of your video. 1. Isaiah 49 is the part of the bible that pro-life people point to because it says that God called me by name and gave me a mission before I was born, while I was still in my mother's womb. So an early term abortion or the morning after pill, or birth control, i see nothing wrong with. The problem is after 2 weeks there is evidence there was a fetus. So there is no evidence of a crime if the fetus is aborted prior to this 2 week window. Taking birth control to prevent, is not a crime. There is NO CRIME unless there is a victim or property damage.

In most states if a mother is attacked and loses her baby before week 16 that child has no rights according to the state and the person can't be charged for murder, only assault on the mother. Well thats not entirely true. No no one can prove the bible but there is evidence that support it. For one the know Nebuchadnezzar existed for real and that Sodom and Gomorrah was an actual place. We know many of the nations like the ones in judges did exist. things like that.

You can answer the first 3 without hesitation can't you? Why? Because they actually happened and there's tons of proof for each. Not so for #4.

In fact up until around exodus plenty of people married their siblings. But God banned that practice later on. Or at least that's what I have been taught. While I agree with you partly I have problems with people deciding the fate of others when it comes to life or death. The baby isn't just a part of the woman, it's not a thumb or hand or some random body part. It's a completely different being, another human separate and apart from the mother and father. if she wants to cut off her hand that's fine her choice. But a baby unborn or not is much more than just a third hand surely it's life deserves some respect. you were one a fetus

@oldfartrants Not to argue but to point out: The Catholic Church, for one, does not claim the bible is scientifically or historically factual, but rather is literature written by believers for the benefit of others who already believe, and its truths are about relationships not facts. Your statement here is a rebuttal to those who say every word of the bible is true (fundamentalists), but does not negate the value of the bible for other theists who don't see the bible that way to begin with.

For centuries Christianity used this book to wage a campaign of intimidation, confiscation, torture and murder in order to silence contrary opinions. As far as books go, it's one of the most vile pieces of literature ever written and should have a warning label on the cover and should be off limits to children!

I'm personally not fond of abortion as I've seen the emotional and physical trauma it inflicts on women. Saying that, I believe that women are in charge of their own bodies and an abortion is between them and their doctors. But I think you got to the crux of the matter at the end of your video. Most people want the government to concentrate on the economy and job creation. Social issues are a sideshow.

(1) Though I usually agree with you I think your analysis of the bible passages falls far short.
1. Isaiah 49 is the part of the bible that pro-life people point to because it says that God called me by name and gave me a mission before I was born, while I was still in my mother's womb. Granted, this in an extrapolation because the verse originally was about the nation of Israel, personified. Early Christians took it as a foreshadowing of Christ, and then in turn, for all Christ's followers.

For instance, it says God plans every moment of our lives from birth to death - which means he also plans every murder and every abortion. But it also says we have free will. So which is it? It can't be both. Bottom line: the Bible is just mythology. Anyone who's ever read it and doesn't see that immediately is seriously delusional.

@cherrydog9 no. one is simply a blank slate which are easy to come by, the other one is a real character that takes years, and is accused of being guilty. not all death penalty cases are justified. in fact, even if the person accused is guilty in reality, that doesn't make them deserving of the death penalty necessarily. every single criminal is an innocent child when it's born, and can easily be made into a criminal given the right combination of bad genes and shitty environment.

Also, sometimes innocent people get executed by mistake - we've seen a couple of cases of that just recently.
