trying to divide and conquer, to deflect attention from the REAL enemy..The Greedy Corporate, nameless faceless entities that run this country. Ron Paul stands out because he wants to abolish The Federal Reserve! Im all for it but good luck!
Besides, dissent and natural mistrust for a Government is a core founding principle in America. We were brought up as a nation to see life as utterly fruitless without liberty. Obama stands as a direct affront to those very liberties.
Don't get me wrong, Bush was every bit as bad, he just wasted the money in other places. Paul was a heavy critic of his policies too.
Please tell me I just misread that statement. Did you just compare Ron Paul to a Socialist like Obama??
Ron Paul is a mere stone's skip from being a Libertarian (no complaint from me, mind you), in fact he was a Libertarian Presidential candidate back in the 80's. In other words, he is a devout opponent of Socialism! That alone earns him high marks from me.
What use, I ask, is liberty without well-being? I think the difference between Ron Paul and Obama is that Ron Paul believes free-market capitalism is the solution, whereas Obama wants to help the common man. What's wrong with Sweden? I think if the well-being of all is raised prosperity is a by-product. Freedom is worthless without prospects.
We should think about the well-being of our future generations, whose resources, efforts and prosperity are being exploited for our own "well-being".
Through our selfishness, our sons & daughter will use their labor to earn a buck- only to find it has already been spent by us- and the next dollar, and the next..
They will receive the legacy of debt.
Perhaps a small monument for the children, who along with our veterans should be honored for sacrificing for the well-being of this generation.
that is the whole problem.....government can not raise the well-being of all. The government has to do that by force. That is not freedom. It is very naieve to think that government can achieve this indefinitely-there is always an end game that does not end well. Freedom is worth discomfort; in fact it requires it!
