Someone is singing off key, and pitch. I think it might be Bill. They do need to replace whomever that is singing off. I am so so so glad that MIchael is back with the Gaither Vocal Band. I love to hear the old fashioned Southern Gospel singing with him and David cant be beat. Bill should write, produce and direct though. He is great in those areas. Because He LIves--He Touched Me-Gloria, you are the best!

For starters, no one can match the vocal quality and range of Phelps...That being said, God Bless Bill for bringing back two classic former members of the Gaither vocal group; remember that each in his own day was the lead, so I am sure Bill is spreading it out to keep the audiences happy...
i heard michael when he was you he was greattttttt but david still is better no offense to michael i don't think anyone can take affense for not singing as good as david but much more importantly is the message of the music that is all that really matter.
No offense, but back in Mike's early days with the vocal band he was just as good or better than David(better in my opinion). His voice was just so dynamic and inspiring, it could'nt hardly be matched. If you haven't already check out some of their early vidoes that are posted on here.
The actual Vocal Band is an unfortunate mix of old, out of shape voices and young, worth listening voices. Bill was it really necessary to reassign the solo on this one? This is a song for one soloist, to let one build the performance progressively. I know that Michael couldn't handle the whole song, you should have let David do it like he always did.
I agree. David can belt this one out like no other. Michael is growing on me. I think Mark is sounding better than ever. Let Bill sit, and bring in a Mike Allen or Gene McDonald, then do an old fashioned quartet album. Booming bass and sky high tenor stuff!
I think Bill like to change things up to give all the guys a chance to shine in different songs. No one can argue David's talent thats for sure! He is my mom's favorite too. I love Michael's voice because even after all he has been through he still sounds amazing!!
You sounded just fine...and it's still the sweetest music to God's ears. I recently went to see Ernie Haase and Signature Sound...I too sang along with the group...perhaps to the displeasure of those sitting in front of me...it was a wonderful night....God Bless you my friend...
