The A600 was crap compared to the A500+. Poor, poor decision from Commodore - they should have put all their energy into the A1200 and made it an even better machine that could have once again, put the Amiga brand far and away ahead of anything else.

@DingKong Yeah but nowadays you'd be mental to pick the 500 over the 600. I mean, addons for the 600 are all over the place. Finding a hard disk for a 500 that doesn't cost the earth is impossible.

It's no wonder why Commodore went bankrupt. Watching these ads would even tempt Amiga fans to consider other options.

Commodore were bought out by a shop called Escom part funded by Micro$oft.

still got mine in the loft (A1200) with loads of software & games, started with the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the early 1980's, and upgraded to this.

I still got a Amiga 500 in good shape. But my dad gave away all the software for it. I need help. I'm even missing Workbench diskettes. buhuuu..

Try eBay :) Or get Amiga Forever, a lot less hassle, and it can emulate any 68k Amiga.

The Amiga was ahead of its time... period... If Commodore had'nt screwed it up, those singing the praises of OS X and Vista now would be seen as utterly mad.... Amiga OS X if there is one would burn the rest to hell...sigh it was too good to be around...

Harsh! I think if u didnt have an A500 then it was a great machine, but if did then yes it was pointless.... the A1200 rocked though :o)
