0:46 for anyone who is asking about the lightning. It's off to the left side of the screen, very briefly there. The rest of the lightning strikes are probably off to that side out of sight too.

I used to be scared to death of thunderstorms, but not anymore. Most of the time, they are nothing to be afraid of. As long as you stay inside during a thunderstorm, you are generally safe.

Serious cloud to ground lightning. This cell would show up on Doppler radar as dark red with some purple . white would mean strong rotation with possible large hail or straight-line winds..These are very common in central and south Florida from May to Sept, with the peak after July 1st.

I've once heard thunder much louder than that. When the tree in my front yard was struck by lightening.

I couldnt hear for hours. Oh and then there was that one time that i got rained on while out backpacking. there where some wrath of god's in there too.

BTW...some of my own videos have lotsa good thunderclaps too... my 5/17/09-video's got one very huge thunderclap about 3 minutes in..plus many others...my 7/28/89-video's got lotsa claps too...along with awesome nighttimed-lightning.

Half a block away or even less is a rail road track. The thunder is powerful enough to set off the lights for the tracks even though no trains coming.

COOOOL!! That is the best thunder footage I've heard on youtube. That happens only once every several years where I live.
