  • I miss starting over.

  • Sadly, Satan works is different ways, and your looking at this power with Yanla. Oprah has spread out the seed in many different directions, and Miss Vanzant is one of those directions. Beware off False Gods. " I am the Lord thy God and thy shalt not bare FALSE witness against me."

  • @commins100 see a shrink.

  • @13teres I am one

  • @commins100 Right I don't usually respond to youtube comments but I thought I make an exception. Before you spread false allegations please educate yourself on the pre western religion in Africa. I don't dispute the spiritual enrichment some people gained from it's doctrines, but there is a darker side to it which you have to take into consideration as well. So please think carefully before you brandish someone with your undeserved remarks. Be well

  • damn she is running across that stage.lol Love the message

  • WOW!!! Powerful!! Such wisdom!!

  • Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal.

  • 8 ain't ready to see.....

  • Im not a woman. Im a 26 year old man... But DAMN that was DEEP!

  • I watched the last time at least 5 times. just to make sure i got it down. : )

  • Iyanla there's a new series on SWEET TV thanks to you Oprah and Maria Shriver and others. I hope you get to see it... THANK YOU!!!

  • Wow! Today I learned to trust TRUTH and not in people (Day 2). I also learned that TRUTH loves and desperately wants to be seen. I've been peering at the imperfections of people. I have been willing them to be what they never promised or was capable of being for me and my eyes have adjusted to slight degrees of truth rather than the whole 360 degree TRUTH. Thanks for letting me know I am on the right track.

  • u rock iyanla!!!!!

  • @ tbursee - Wow, seems as though you may have some "baggage" yourself or did something Ms. Vanzant hit a little too close to home? Question for you, how many people as of today have YOU inspired and empower to go beyond their current condition? Obviously feel that you a right to judge others. And what does fatherless and black have to do with anything? Would she be more "real" if she beat up the other woman and wallowed in pity over money SHE can get again? Glad you are so perfect and positive!

  • This is silly. This is nothing but " new age " garbage. She let her husband , who was an unemployed looser , beat her out of all her cash, marries another woman, and she pretends like she is not mad about it , by calling the other woman her " sister". When people can't deal with reality, thet make up a reality than can deal with. This is just another hurt , rejected, fatherless black woman, using emotional pain, to make money off of women with the same circumstances.

  • @tbursee It's sad you offer more bad energy to an already negative situation. True she went through a rough time. It's not a truth that you just exposed here on youtube but a story she revealed herself. Iyanla has transcended her circumstance and pain. By telling her story she allows women "with the same circumstance" to know that they can transcend as well. This is what the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" speaks of, your "garbage" is my treasure. I'll take it, thanks.

  • @tbursee kinda makes me sad someone can watch this lesson and comeback with all these negative comments that do not matter, you are not her and I do believe just because something like this might make you fall apart doesn't make everyone that way. I m sure you have your own reality going on that you cant handle, I think your eyes have adjusted to the level of deficiency around you lol maybe you need to watch again with and open mind and heart without all these preconceptions you have.

  • Me n you Iya... will meet again... God Bless You Iya!!!!! Alafia!!!!

  • My mom named me after her "i love you iyanla Vanzant"

your iyanla and i'm iyanla =)

  • She has always inspired me with her truth...and her transparency! Beloved you Lyanla!

  • Such a wonderful and amazing bessage! Thank you so much for sharing it <3

  • Perfection is the message? I really didn't know that.

  • Wonderfully important message.

  • @truesignabove this black woman speaks with passion so she must have a big mouth. "Ophra" doesnt need your assistance or your opinion. Im happy dummies like you exist. How else would we recognize the truly intelligent?

  • @nobodyswatchin2002 You have unforgiveness in your heart and you choose to live that way! Try something new and start with yourself by forgiving yourself for allowing yourself to continue to be unforgiving.

    I am praying for you!

  • @truesignabove HATER!!!!!!!!

  • @Whylie3 ....didn't you hear her when she said, she didn't know.......give the lady a break...she gives the world a pieced of her and all yo can do is tear her down....their are a lot of people in and out of hollywood her teeth are not fixed.......And she might be a SMOKER....which means she cannot get implants because the gums will not allow it..............I still like her........a woman in PROGRESS........she's sharing as she goes along....HATER!!!

  • @truesignabove....didn't you hear her when she said, she didn't know.......give the lady a break...she gives the world a pieced of her and all yo can do is tear her down....their are a lot of people in and out of hollywood her teeth are not fixed.......And she might be a SMOKER....which means she cannot get implants because the gums will not allow it..............I still like her........a woman in PROGRESS........she's sharing as she goes along....HATER!!!

  • A very simple, yet powerful message. If this message is difficult to understand, then you are at a place in your life where you are not ready for this message, when you are ready you will get it.

  • I love listening to her speak and I hear that she has a school that deals with spiritual development in Maryland. I'm very interested in spirituality and ready to ascend to that next level but how I'm gonna get to Maryland!?!?! Lol. I love you Iyanla but you're too far away.

  • AMEN SISTA LOVE YOU... INSPIRED BY U IN MANY WAYS... GOD BLESS YOU

  • very true!!!!!! been reading her books but never saw her in person now i like her even more !! lol i love how she moves around the stage- very entertaining and honest!!!!

  • Alleluia sister!

  • OMG!!! This is so me with the sales, loved the message like you it is GREAT thank you for sharing this I loved it so much had to share it.

  • Iyanla is incredible. Love her books.

  • Wonderful !! So glad I found this channel !

  • You must see her in person. Her seminars are inspiring.

  • Thanks for being you!

  • This was very on point...more more more...ahahahahaha love it

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I LIKE HER That was Good. Talk about Inspiration. I know what she is talking about literally and metaphorically. The best thing is when you get glasses for the first time after walking around with distorted and blurry vision.... I need to give my heart a check now : )

  • Thanks for making sense, Iyanla.

  • Powerful.... Know what you know you know....

  • Iyanla Vanzant gives out information that people need to hear when they need to hear it. Those who have it all together shouldn't watch her or buy her books. As for the rest of us, we'll keep on healing.

  • use your spell check before putting others down, you look dumb.

  • I'm not putting others down, I'm just being honest and above I said that the customers were well meaning; I see that Iyanla's trite "life coaching" has done you no good, shouldn't you be feeling peaceful?

  • oh my god i had the same experience with glasses last year ! :)

  • I love Iyanla... she brings such humour to the stage of inspirational speakers... thank you for this... and more

  • Sometimes our vision can get somewhat blurry as we focus on our sense of well-being rather than on all the details of our sensory world...it doesn't have to be a bad thing! As we move from paying attention to all the physical details, we use a different vision to pay attention to the non-physical details of the truth of who we are!

  • I'm glad I found this channel

  • Rev - You have a gift

    I appreciate you!

i have but one prayer for myself -

Create in me a clean heart O Lord,

And renew a right spirit within me.

    ~inthistogether~

  • Your EYES will adjust - like your LIFE adjusts how you are living - You must get GOOD eye wear to see where you are going - or you will not know see your walking in the wrong direction. It is not about the "sale" it is about the "walk"

  • Comment removed

  • i love you

  • Sometimes you can waist valuable time searching for silly videos on You Tube; in the meantime you can watch Iyanla and get inspired!

  • @harlemaesthetic I so agree with you!

  • @harlemaesthetic ....so, true....like Iyanla....truth is always hard but real....she is authentic...you either appreicate her or not. I appreciate her. Comeback...so, glad her an Oprah are talking.

  • @harlemaesthetic I think you meant to say waste, sheis awesome and very insightful gifted strong woman our lyanda God did real good teaching her

  • how is your vision everyone wants to know?

  • Amazing...

  • She made me set up and eye appointment right after I saw this- as I have been wearing fake glasses only because I think they look nifty and have not taken the time to actually think about my vision...

    Go figure...

    xxooxx

  • I loved how her level of profound intensity builds into a crescendo of fervency.

  • Iyana is a wonderful life coach. This woman has lived a hard life from living in the projects as a single parent and going to law school dealing with and abusive husband to having another man tell her he didn't want a aready made family and walking out on her. Iyana is a big inspiration to me and I love her books and CDs which brought me through a difficult time in love. Her book "In the Meantime is a book all women should read. BIG UPS TO IYANA I LOVE YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO BEST "LIVIN"

  • Iyanla Vanzant is a SAINT! She has made a great difference in my life with her insightful, beautiful, healing teaching. I love Iyanla!!

  • Miss Vanzant forever! Thank you!

  • AMEN!!

  • ooooooooh preach

  • so true love her

  • To What DoktorSick stated....Sometimes the things we already know we over look.. sometimes we have to be reminded of what we already know to remember that the answer is as simple as a memory being triggered.. there are no tricks or tips to get through issues and its called inspiring something within you.. otherwise it'd be called teaching.. this is a great expression of reassurance..

  • This woman is too interested in entertaining the audience and her stage performance to be getting across any concrete message here. This is not a stand up comedy circuit. I clicked on this video seeking inspiration from a certified member of the women's institute - instead I've been welcomed by a woman recalling her time at the eye doctors in the hope of rolling out something we don't already know!

  • Obviosly you did not get the message then, Im only 18 years old and I got the message. She told the story because it connects to the message. She has to be relatable. The real message is Deficiency in ones vision.

  • Jesus often used parables to teach the people. Iyanla taught that we make adjustments in our lives without asking if they are what we need or want. If our husband is violent we will make whatever adjustments to survive in our lives. Stop living thru rose colored lenses we will see things differently. If we hate our job how do we adjust our lives. Do we drink more coffee to wake up maybe starbucks because we have to drag ourselves in there. Let those that have eyes see.

  • First off if you are not intune with your own inner self you will not understand the true meaning behind this message. The message clearly states that if you look at things one way and never allow yourself to see things in a different view then you might need to get your vision adjusted spiritually. Yes duh!! you knew that but at the same time why do you seek certified help from professional when God holds all the answers you need. Look within in your own heart for inspiration. Be Blessed.

  • Thats so true. God holds it all in his hand!

  • @MsWonderWoman1988 maybe you did not listen with an open heart ...?

  • What a phony.

  • dmbrownva, what an idiot you are

  • It is amazing the things a person can learn just under 5 minutes. She is such a SMART WISE AND BEAUTIFUL women speaking the truth

  • love this woman. love her love her love her!

  • I've read everything from Covey to Canfield and noone has impacted my life like this woman has. Thank you Iyanla! I draw upon your wisdom every day.

  • she is ridiculous. The stuff she is saying basical what you already know. But presents as some grand awaking of knowledge.

  • well, 'you' may already have a grasp on these things. Not everyone necessarily does, and even if someone has a good knowledge of these insights, it is still helpful to be reminded now and again that life could be a bit more than we allow it to be..

  • Go ahead and hate on her hater, it doesn't stop her power!

  • Sometimes the things we already know we over look.. sometimes we have to be reminded of what we already know to remember that the answer is as simple as a memory being triggered.. there are no tricks or tips to get through issues and its called inspiring something within you.. otherwise it'd be called teaching.. this is a great expression of reassurance..

  • awesome analogy

  • Thank You Iyanla I first saw you on "Starting Over" and will be eternally grateful. You also were the first person to expose me to Michael Beckwith... need I say more. I loved the show by the way.

    Be blessed.

    Samadhi

  • thank you so much

  • I appreciate it!

  • Duh! This metaphor/analogy is not finished.

  • "generic cookies"

    LOL

  • Whoah!

  • ...pooh... - one must love her... - otherwise you lose your nerves by watching her runnin´round like a freaked out duck - ..an her hyped chattering is not really my cup of tea.. more like a cast for typical sitcoms - but anyway -it´s all in good cause;-] ...her message is GREAT!!

  • Awesome!! :)

  • I just love Iyanla. Her books are awesome as well.

  • Iyanla is the best. I love the powerful emotion in her splendid delivery of the truth. It is a lesson for all of us to learn.
