I would geta yz250, only reason is because they got more torque and they got about 8-10 more HP. But the 250f is an awesome bike too! Plus the yz250 is cheaper in maintence.

my 450 has the biggest bottom end ive everyhad on a bike but this is defently good for a 250f i had a crf250r and it was modded out to the point the only thing stock was the gastank, frame, swing arm and and diplacement you had the rev the balls out of the bike to get up hills but now i can just bottom end it up wit the 450
