You don't know anything about long jumping. This is called the "hang" technique.

not hatin or anything but i see that kind of jump every year from like 4 poeple at the mid hoosier confrence. i can only jump around 21 1/2 feet at freshman but im going to try and get state record by the time im senior. i think it's like 27 feet or something

if u look at the white thing in the back ground you can tell that the wind is blowing towards him, that just makes this jump even more nuts

there isn't much differences with the hitch and hang...furthest jump with hang was 29'1 and furthest with hitch 29'5...hitch is only used to achieve better landing..

@darkxiao Form in the air is probably the least important factor in the long jump. You can do whatever you want and still get a good landing. The hitch kick is no better than the hang, or the sail, or anything else someone does. Which technique will achieve a jumper the best landing varies from athlete to athlete.

your supposed to stay in the air as long as possible before you land, if your put your feet down too early its cuts feet out of your jump...not saying im an expert or can jump 25 feet or anything but thats why hes putting his legs out so late

Derek Locke is my new favorite Wildcat. Did anyone watch the 4th quarter of the UK game at Arkansas? Did McFadden control the 4th quarter, no. Did Felix Jones control the 4th quarter, no. So who did. Locke did. He absoultley ran on Arkansas in the fourth quarter. He controled that most important quarter in football. Great job Locke
