I have friends at Duke University and Boston College, but yeah I could have gotten rejected from Duke since it's real competitive. I am not saying which college I go to but it has a 30 something percent acceptance rate.

Colleges these days from what I've seen are focused on if the student shows commitment, as well as a challenging class load. I would assume that Michigan and Stanford would rather see someone take tough classes in their younger years and get a B or so instead of an A in a dumb fitness class. ACT is damn important though. 30 on the ACT is bound to get you into Michigan. Congrats on Bucknell though

swarthmore is one of the top three liberal arts schools in the country...it's as hard to get into as any of the ivy leagues or similarly competitive schools..so getting rejected from swarthmore is not a blow to your strength as a student
