Infinity Ward may do some research, but they still have to make the game fast paced, enjoyable, maintain its run'n'gun style, and most importantly, epic. Also, there's no such thing as a heat seeking AT4. You also cannot reload an M240B standing up.

Also, in the WWII CoD games, I can tell they didn't do their research. In France, houses usually separate toilets (les toilletes) from the bath/shower (le salle de bains).

These games are still fun though, but it is far from realistic.

COD 4 is one of the most unrealistic games I've ever played, so the guy in the vid should shut his trap about COD 4 striving for "authenticity" One shot to the chest with an AK-47 won't kill you but a knife will, wtf. You are able to call endless waves of helicoptors, these things cost millions of dollars. The guns have next to no recoil on full auto, the sounds of the guns are very underwhelming compared to real life.

Halo 3 isn't based on real life, COD 4 is. A knife is not as powerful as a .30 caliber bullet coming at you at 2,756 ft/s. It's amazing how people take video games as real life these days.
