I saw this group while i home on leave while in the Marine Corps in the 80's. They played at the Broward County Youth Fair 1983. I got the 45 record that they had put under all the seats. They were great.
WOW this brings back memories!! We didn't know for years that our daughter thought this song was written for her, and she was surprised as a young adult, when she found out it wasn't! She was really little when here daddy was in the band :)
If you like ATLANTA write, email, call MCA Records in Nashville...make them release a greatest hits cd!!! There is no reason why a group that sold 1.7 million records should not have anything on the market now. PLease do it! Pass it on.
Just thought you all might want to know that Tony Ingram died last week of what is believed to be a heart attack. He was battling throat cancer. He is survived by his wife and three kids.
@metajonn This is old news to you but new to us - such a sad thing to lose Tony and Allan in one visit to youtube. I'm sure they are in Heaven, making music and cracking jokes with anyone who will listen. We'll miss you Nanner Puddin and Mom's Boyfriend!!
