I like your honesty. You're a proud gay man but you're only proud of things worth taking pride in. In the gay community there's behaviour which is very negative. I happens in the straight community too but not nearly as much. You are a gay man with a positive story to tell.
Thanx. I'm glad to hear your partnered. I also hope the most you wish for is the least you receive. I'm a Navy vet (CTI2) I married because that was the thing to do. I applaud you for your intstinal fortitude! I just found your blog, Too bad it is not current, but I understand..... If I were in a relationship, especially a new relationship, I would think of hundreds of things to do beside blogging.
Zach, Thank you so much for your service to our country. Figures, you are too cute to be straight. (sorry, I know that is a stereotype, I mean no offense, and you are cute! I have a preference for vets.) I wish there were more people like you, both men and women, gay and straight. Strong enough to be true to yourself, and stand up and protect others. Thank you.
@ Scavullo: The guy in this video doesn't imply that he's "The shit," for being who he is. He just -is- who he is. He's just a masculine guy with an attraction to the same gender. He doesn't even play up his sexuality like it's anything gargantuan. He's himself. Which is a symbol, more than anything, that orientation doesn't have to be a subculture.
I'm sooo over these gay guys who think they are the shit because they look and act more on the side of the stereotypical straight man so they think they are ABOVE the other gays. Sweety, you think you are better than the rest of the gays because you are christian an in the military...Wake up..YOU ARE JUST AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STEREOTYPE!
While greatly respecting this guy.I totally disagree with him about what he refers to asGAY-STEREOTYPES.GayHistory is actual-factual reality. It is because of such STEREO-TYPES fighting back the police at the Stonewall-Uprising(1969)that he(NOW)has the support system to come-out & to be & to become himself.GayGuys that pass for straight never have to go through the brutal-bullying that their more STEREO-TYPED brothers have had to face since early childhood.to pass for str8 is often to-hide,still
I'm not surprised to see gay men proudly vocalize their distaste for things "gay," such as pride parades, clubs, feminine men, etc. We grow up in the same homophobic society as the straight/gay homophobes. Many feel if they have to be gay, at least make it as palatable as possible. Whatever. I say see the good in all gays, as long as they aren't hurting others. I.e., not all pride participants partake in or even agree with all aspects of the parade. It includes a spectrum of people/beliefs.
@brainuppance I'm not surprised to see str8 men proudly vocalize their distaste for things "str8," like beer-bust Sunday, AMP's, rednecks, etc. We all grow up in the same heterosexual male dominated society. Many str8's feel if they have to be str8, at least make it palatable (if possible). I say see the good in all str8's, as long as they aren't hurting others. Not all jocks partake in or even agree with all aspects of beer-bust Sunday and Tim Tebow on his knees. It's a dude-rainbow of beliefs!
@lduych Was that an exercise in stupidity? Obviously you are quite clueless about the realities of our homophobic society. Just because you can switch something around linguistically, does not make it a valid statement, much less an accurate commentary on life in the real world. But word games can be fun.
@brainuppance Oh, and your guess at my being obviously "quite clueless about the realities of our homophobic society" couldn't be more mistaken. I am 63 years old and have been beaten up several times, once resulting in a fractured skull.
Maybe so Gordon, but I am a man first and I love being a man and being masculine, I don't want to be a woman and I am not attracted to men who dress up in woman's attire. If I make it with a woman, it has to be the REAL thing as in WOMAN. This guy is masculine and holds alot of the values that I grew up with. Man our lives are identical almost
Now that's my kind of people. A masculine man for whom being gay is just a small part of who he is. We share the same kind of values and morals. Like him I don't do "gay pride" either it turns me off seeing men reinforcing stereotypes of gay men.
@Ma1nguy The thing is, if it weren't for the drag queens at Stonewall who finally got fed up and fought back, we wouldn't even be able to tell ourselves we're gay. Much less admit it to anyone else.
As everyone else has already said, you're a stud! Being a gay Christian myself, I can totally relate to what you're saying. There's times it seems like I don't fit in anywhere, and there's times it seems like there aren't any guys out there who want something more out of a relationship than to just get their rocks off. It's nice to see there's other gay guys out there going against the grain.
To goute Bill Hick's. Every men that's stupid enough to join the army should be allowed to join. Gay or straight. Sorry for my english, i'm dutch. But you hopefully get the point. Make gay or straight love but don't kill.
@dronea I agree in principle. BUT we live in a real world run by the pride, fear, and arrogance of mere men. We will always have need of poets AND generals. sad but true.
Im gay, i have religious beliefs, im in the US Army, ive never once been inside a gay bar, was forced to attend a gay club on one of my birthdays, didnt enjoy it never been back to one. I have 0 interest to participate in any "pride" events, i also only look for what he described as "real" people. Its not all uncommon to find those like us..... usually why i date others from the military, easier to relate and dont have to deal with all this.
I completely understand his thoughts on gay bars, Pride, etc. I have some but not many gay friends and I've never been to Pride. Sometimes I think the gay community is it's own worst enemy sometimes because we can perpetuate our own stereotypes. I'm glad he's happy.
wow - so much of what you said, is how I always felt - I came out in 1994 at 29 years old - I have never felt like I fitted into either the straight or gay lifestyle - and always felt like there were never any guys who felt as I did - I always hated the term straight-acting, just because I "came out" doesn't mean I turned into someone else who has to fit into a stereo type gay man. - I am so glad I found this video on youtube... and by the way... what a dude!
I hope you've found that someone special by now. We need more examples of gay men like you. I was in a 19y ltr.. and now single. I too grew up with the same confictions as you. But I'm looking for someone in their 50's lol.. Good luck to you my friend; may you find love and all the happiness you can stand.
How are you single? LOL! Do you find that not being stereotypically gay is unnerving to your straight friends? All of my friends are straight and sometimes I get the feeling some of them are uncomfortable with me because I don't fit into the little box they've become accustomed to putting gay people in.
I really relate to so many of your feelings. I was raised a childhood minister in the pulpit, in a spartan rancher family. All the men did a hitch in the military. When I came out I promptly got with my first lover that went 16 years. Then a second for 8, and my current one in it's 12th year. It has been a funny experience not really fitting in either world. Caught between you have to move closer to God, and transcend. God bless you, and shine on.
glad that you came out... good for you. I was raised Pentecostal years ..of self hate. Then I just came out... at 28, left my wife.. remained good friends...and it all turns out good. Feel sorry for they Gay guys who keeping trying to change themselves.
military workin for criminal banks killing civilians when there's no threat, big X, fail there. christianity mind control and mass submission to church institutions, another X, fail there too. gay, well there you go... you hate gay pride propaganda, that's pretty cool... don't follow the crowd i guess, right on... you get a check.
I SO identify with what you say about identifying with the gay "community". In my view, you can love another man without all of the repulsive and CHOSEN gay lifestyle elements. Many of them are simply male impersonators with gym bodies. Apparently that's all they need to be a man.
I don't need a community to tell me who to vote for, or what acceptable clothing, bars, friends, or other lifestyle aspects to embrace. Men should act like men of character and honor. Not the disgusting mean and hateful gossip culture that celebrates the superficial and happily destroys the individual.
well you might be out Zach but i think im going back in. i might as well as go straight! you are BEAUTIFUL. & i know i will never have you. there for there is no reason to be gay anymore.
"I'm living my life for everyone else ... enough, this is my life" <3 Exactly the point. I wish that this would sink into the ignorant people's heads. We're not here to live for them. We're here to live for ourselves.
You did all the right things for the right reasons...I hope some wonderful guy comes into your life and takes the best care of you, buddy...wish I lived near you...I'd love to get to know you over a beer or coffee...
I think that the flamboyance in gay pride parades is important. I know some guys who really do enjoy that kind of stuff, so even if it's stereotypical, it's honest, and there's dignity in honesty. When gays from all across the spectrum participate in the gay community, it paints a more honest picture that people are people. You are definitely helping to educate others by being yourself, but the only way to change the community is to be a part of it. You would make it that much more dignified :-)
@BlaxMetal this man is a christian and he'll be going to heaven cause he accepted Jesus and believed in the gospel 1corithians 15:1-4. you cant be saved by works. we are saved by grace because of our faith in Jesus. and yeah we are sinners but not cause of gay stuff. u also sin so dont be casting stones. as for gays in the bible there in not one single verse against gays. i dont know what bible your reading from but it must not be the KJV
Thank you for uploading this video, im 25 and this video has been a major influence in deciding to tell my parents. I now feel that even if they dont accept who i am, I know that its more important for me to accept myself. I hope you have a very long and happy life with a person as great as you are.
Your thoughts are very much echoed by me. Being true to yourself is one of the most important thing in life and you've made that point. Thanks. Godspeed to you.
Gay and Christian is no real issue. How do *hardcore* Christians do the military....all the killing and imperialism. Everything about the military is anti-Christian.
do not call people fag as it wrong and some gay may have be raped in school so be nice to gays people.

@CFrostyTheSnowman Thanks for the comment, my friend. but I think you made a fundamental and common mistake -- a mistake the church nurtures and the minions parrot. One CANNOT read the bible as though it was written last weekend, in the English language, to an American culture. IT WASN'T! rather than give a longwinded rebuttal, I'd like to recommend you start following the blog of a particular straight, male christian at johnshore(dot)com --- his perspectives are most enlightening.
@Ultramediacorp How do you know the mind of god? How do you know that the particular bronze age text of your choosing is the word of god? Furthermore, what empirical evidence do you have that god even exists? At first I thought you were just a troll, with your laughably ignorant generalizations like "they all love little boys", but then I checked out your channel, and saw that you uploaded this video watch?v=WEpckOaVfD8. Really, the earth is less than 10,000 years old? You are beyond brainwashed
Thanks for the support guys. Be sure to check out my blog too -- I have several links to books and other online support sites for gays / christians who dare to look further for answers. Go to: zpower2b.blogspot.com Be sure to subscribe and help me spread the positive message and support
@theramblingdoctor To me, comments like yours are what "reincarnation" is .. living on as a positive consequence in the life of another person. Thanks
I greatly enjoy when a gay man breaks the stereotype. Also, the pride parades do quash that, and make gays seem less "human". I'm gay, and I'm not in support of the parade. Break the stereotype!
@EricImprov What a load of crap! I've attended gay pride parades all over this continent and the only people who have a problem with them are the ones who don't attend. There are always LOTS of straight people there, many of whom have their children with them, and they all have a great time. Straight people don't sit around worrying how the actions of other straight people will affect the STRAIGHT COMMUNITY, so why do we? It's called: internalized homophobia. Don't believe the hype.
I agree with you on pride parades-they DO reinforce stereotypes.
They're really fun, though. One of my friends is Italian, and he says European pride parades are less flaming and fabulous-there are rainbows, but not everyone there is flamboyantly gay.
@NaomiLawlietJr Have you ever been to a pride parade? There are TONS of people there, of every persuasion and personality type. Who cares if some are more or less flamboyant? That's such a homophobic thing to say. It makes me laugh. My sister said: "If I see a woman in a super short skirt on with high heals and lots of make-up I don't worry about how her manner of dress with affect all women, so why are people concerned how a flamboyant gay man will affect the entire gay community?"
@blackriflex39 I'm gay and I know in my heart I have been saved, so I call myself a Christian. Your comment is quite ignorant. Its like saying "if you're black, you can't be a christian". I did not choose to be gay but you did choose to make a stupid remark like that. Your kind is what makes many homosexuals turn away from god and religion. God is loving and merciful, unlike you.
@aragoonn And wearing clothes with mixed fibres. And wearing clothes of the opposite sex. NO PANTS MOM! And on and on and on. The bible says a lot of stuff that people choose to ignore. They cherry pick want they want to use to attack others and they in turn ignore the stuff that pertains to them.
" The Bible contains 6 (questionable) admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision"
Lying about who you really are is a sin. LYING IS A SIN! Be who you are and be true to the ones you love.
People keep saying God made Adam and Eve - YES, he did but he made them like that so that they could REPRODUCE. He didn't make them to define that love is gotta be ONLY between a man and a woman, that's a man's "law" not God's.
WE HAVE TO EMBRACE BEING US, HOW GOD MADE US. THE "NORMAL" SEXUAL ORRIENTATION IS MADE BY THE MAN NOT BY GOD!
hey, I really admire your self confidence. That's why I want you to help me. I am a 16 year old boy and I'm bisexual. So far I have only told my friends that are girls and one guy friend and my current girlfriend, they have all taken it well. I built up the bravery to tell my grandmother today and she accepted me. but I don't know how to tell my parents, I really wanted to tell them today, but they always make fun of and talk bad about gay ppl. Plz help me to come out to my parents.
The video response "inSANE Superhero" from CrossroadsCCUS is a gay affirming church. Gays are treated like anyone else who seeks a relationship with Christ. No better, no worse. Check them out on this list: gaychurch(dot)org/Find_a_Church
I admire your courage,No one can tell I'm gay just by looking but i am as gay as rainbow is colorful, rings true to the saying never judge a book by it's cover, but it is alwasy better to be honest with yourself about yourslef before anyone can demand that others be honest with you.Maybe it's just me,but religion is a bad way to really surpress ones independance and true self, cause in religion you have to do and say what everyone else does, and thats why religion means nothing to most.Kudos though
@sn9696 We shouldn't get to the bottom of gentic anything, this is what we are, this is how we will be.those who don't like it don't have to be gay. It's up to us to be true to ourselves,we're not doing anything wrong. It's just the way it is.We are neither possesed nor genetically flawed.we are simple humans with different preferances.SImple as that.No science can explain it nor cure cause there's nothing to cure.Gay is something everyone discovers for themselves.Nothing is wrong with US.
@RedMatrixGhost ,Something has gone wrong geneticly, i have figured out most reasons for this genetic abnormalities but not all ! Males are to be with females and females to males,I know truth can hurt ! i dont hate gays but what happens if all humans were gay ?
@sn9696 You may have figured the abnormalities but it isn't something can be reversed or even supresed, and if it is genetics like you say, then every gentesist in the wolrd would be trying to "cure" the world of homsexuality, but theres nothing to cure, because there's nothing wrong with gay.If all humans were gay is simply impossible, that is an impossiblity,we should focus on what is and not what should be.Be true to you, fuck everyone else.
@sn9696 All humans will never be gay. That's a silly question. I was born gay. I know because...I am me and I know. I knew from a very young age that I was gay. I tried to make myself be attracted to women but, short of living a lie, I chose to be true to myself and live as I was born. I was lucky to find the man of my dreams, fall in love and we've been together now for 22 years. There's nothing genetically wrong with me, so you needn't worry about "getting to the bottom" of anything.
@sn9696 "but what happens if all humans were gay" hypotheticals make for terrible arguments, the postulation is an impossibility, and therefore holds no argumentative relevance. Please show empirical evidence to reinforce your assertion that "Something has gone wrong genetically*" .
@sn9696 No substantive genetic base has been established for homosexuality; though study of monozygotic twins suggests that genetics may influence the development of homosexuality, biological development en utero and experiential development ex utero definitely play a role in homosexual orientation. Homosexuality is NOT a genetic abnormality.
I really appreciate you posting this. I feel like there are so few accounts from gay military persons. I don't know if you'll read this, but would you mind if I shared this with my high school's GSA club? I've had some questions from fellow members about questioning sexuality and contradiction with religion, and I think this might be able to help them.
@sarasissweet who said" I know lots of gay people, none of whom are as you've described them to be." I'm not the one describing them sara, GAYS are the ones insisting they describe themselves and all I'm saying is SO WHAT! NO ONE CARES IF YOU'RE GAY IF YOU'RE BI OR INTO BESTIALITY. The gays you know in the Military, you know are gay but are still there because THEY DON'T ACT LIKE THE ONES THAT GET KICKED OUT. Not for being gay but for MAKING IT SUCH A FUCKING ISSUE THEY PISS EVERYONE OFF!
@Ultramediacorp Brother, I appreciate your indifferent nature to peoples sexual orientation, but how is it at all fair to say that the people who had been kicked out before "don't ask don't tell" was repealed shouldn't have been allowed to be themselves so that they could serve the country they love and lay down their lives for it? Another thing: It wouldn't be an issue if equal rights were practiced and hate was eliminated from the narrow-minded who are the ones stopping that from happening.
@Ultramediacorp Rude words and ALL CAPS do not make your comment any more valid. There have been thousands of gay people who were kicked out of the military at the hands of DADT who were not as you describe them to be. Not flamboyant. No agenda. Didn't talk about their private lives. Just wanted to serve their country. Many were highly trained professionals - linguists, medics, etc. - who were tossed out through no fault of their own. You're a homophobe. I get that. You're also wrong.
Zach, thank you very much for posting this video. I think your story closely resembles my experiences and my points of view on religion and being an in-betweener of the gay and straight community.
Props to this guy! To be an iconoclast is not easy these days, especially when we have all sorts of people trying it because they think it makes them appear intelligent; in truth, it requires a very solid value system, which the man in the video clearly has. And hooray for someone who is 45 (28 + 2 + 6 + 9) and not riddled with insecurities. Totes agreeing with @StevyRich; we should all be so lucky to meet and be with a man like this.
I came out my senior year @ Oklahoma Baptist U. I can relate to his path and what he is trying to do. Bravo/brava and well done you, i would say. One thing, the "GAY Community" he speaks of is mosty his experience with bars & places where gay folk go 2 play. If you judged straight folk by their bars: you would mostly judge them fucked indeed. Coming to the party @ 28 gives him some catching up to do; as well as, he needs to meet more of the hidden tribes of gay people that just don't go out.
It's good to challenge stereotypes. It's also good to be respectful of people whom you feel live up to those stereotypes. It's so common among gay men to disparage one-another because of how they do or do not fit within the "typical" image of a gay man. This aversion to what is perceived as "typical" is, ironically... pretty typical.
@y0utUBeH8r As opposed to "go get shot" and "christian" which is entirely Christ-like ... well -- in a Christian-Taliban way! Thanks for clarifying that distinction!
I encourage all christians .. gay or straight .. to keep this guy and his kind in your prayers
@y0utUBeH8r, let's face it, the only "oxy...moron" is you. Satan corrupts those of you with weak, degenerate minds and uses you to spread hatred in his name. You know nothing about Christianity, you're no more than Satan's bitch.
Do you have an e-mail, twitter, facebook, etc. where I could contact you. I would truly love to talk to someone who understands this tug-of-war between spirituality/christianity and sexuality. Truly. Thanks so much for sharing your story.
Zach, I can relate to this in a massive way, as far as the religious interference goes. I did almost join the marines when I graduated in 2008 but my parents convinced me to wait. I've struggled w/ my sexuality for as long as I can remember. I finally told my parents about a year ago, and we discussed how I can "get help" and "work through it". My family loves me immensly and would never condemn me, but I'm still battling with what it is I believe. I would love to talk with you more.
Zach, I'm gay, and I've remained a practicing Catholic. I believe that God sees deep into me and comprehends my desire to love and to be loved, to be in a committed and monogamous relationship, and to love Him above all else. No matter how others may choose to define my homosexuality, and what limitations they believe I should have, I'll never go into that box that they'd like to put me in. You're beautiful, by the way.
so your not only saying that you believe that this it... called god created you in his image. and you suck cock and it says that if a man were to lay with another man it would be an abomination and on top of that your a murderer accept it dont argue your doing a service for your country i know but the bottom line is your a killer, so how can you be christian when you dont even obey what you say you believe in. and on top of it your chemically balanced in your brain. i hate how dumb people are
@soberorhigh Can everybody see the love of Christ just flowing so freely from this guy? Me neither! Tell me Mr. "SoberorHigh" -- is your hatred and ignorance and arrogance supposed to draw me nearer to your Lord? It doesn't. Is being like YOU, the alternative to being gay? No thanks, I'll pass.
@soberorhigh same way you can call yourself Kristchin and sit there judging and throwing stones....you don't even know this guy and you sit there passing judgment. Fact is we are all mirrors for each other because all we are ever doing is projecting....own the projection and get over YOUR self....
Zach "Ragazzo Bello e Coraggioso"! (Handsome Brave Boy/Guy) I know full well that you are in fact a grown "Uomo" (Man) the Italian "Ragazzo"(Boy) is just my way of showing genuine appreciation and love for a member of my extended queer (LGBTQ) "famiglia"! It's also very edifying that you attest to the true nature of G-Ds love, for you and all of his children!
Though your great upload here might be "Getting On" as it were, I Bobby Griffiths' (Prayers for Bobby) old lover/boyfriend "Blaine" here am still compelled to tell you just how "freakin" proud you make me!
Ti Amo Molto Per Questo! (I Luvs Ya Lots For This)
@michiman57 This sounds like you`re an ignorant tosser..! They decide whether they want to be Christian, who they want to love and who they want to shag....
Well at least he admits it wasn't religion that screwed him up, it was him USING religion as an excuse for his celibacy. Too bad he only had head knowledge and never asked the lord to re-map his brains neural sexual synaptic reward pleasure centers. The brain is extremely malleable and no one is born straight or gay. These are ACQUIRED tastes that develop as we grow up and are influenced in more ways than we know.
@Ultramediacorp "Ultra" -- thanks for the comment -- You ALMOST understood me better than most str8 commenters. But I have a question for you: Can you read minds or hearts? How do you know what I prayed for or for how long or how much of my life was lost "waiting upon the Lord" to change me so I can be LIKE you or anyone else. Fact is, I DID pray for MANY years -- thus I was celibate as I waited for the LORD'S response. He said I'm fine the way He made me.
@ZachDC uttered:"He (God) said I'm fine the way He made me."
EXACTLY, so don't blame god for the debauchery you are going to put yourself through. God didn't make you Gay, and you just said so yourself. NO ONE makes you be gay, no more than your fake phony religious convictions were why you were celibate. You were Celibate because you have hangups son. You make excuses for them and you blame God. That is how I know you didn't pray. You just gave God an ultimatum using a stop watch
@Ultramediacorp He was celibate because he was brainwashed into believing the folk tales, mythology, and miscellaneous babbling of a bronze age nomadic people were literally the true, unaltered word of god.
@Ultramediacorp - Yes, godamn right, because god ALWAYS answers the prayers of those who require synaptic reconfiguration but if your kid died of cancer, then .... meh, you didn't pray hard enough, you weren't christian enough.
I like your honesty. You're a proud gay man but you're only proud of things worth taking pride in. In the gay community there's behaviour which is very negative. I happens in the straight community too but not nearly as much. You are a gay man with a positive story to tell.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful,
and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.

@lduych Was that an exercise in stupidity? Obviously you are quite clueless about the realities of our homophobic society. Just because you can switch something around linguistically, does not make it a valid statement, much less an accurate commentary on life in the real world. But word games can be fun.

I SO identify with what you say about identifying with the gay "community". In my view, you can love another man without all of the repulsive and CHOSEN gay lifestyle elements. Many of them are simply male impersonators with gym bodies. Apparently that's all they need to be a man.
mymailbox4404 2 months ago
I don't need a community to tell me who to vote for, or what acceptable clothing, bars, friends, or other lifestyle aspects to embrace. Men should act like men of character and honor. Not the disgusting mean and hateful gossip culture that celebrates the superficial and happily destroys the individual.

@CFrostyTheSnowman Thanks for the comment, my friend. but I think you made a fundamental and common mistake -- a mistake the church nurtures and the minions parrot. I greatly enjoy when a gay man breaks the stereotype. Also, the pride parades do quash that, and make gays seem less "human". I'm gay, and I'm not in support of the parade. Break the stereotype!
EricImprov 3 months ago
@EricImprov What a load of crap! I've attended gay pride parades all over this continent and the only people who have a problem with them are the ones who don't attend. There are always LOTS of straight people there, many of whom have their children with them, and they all have a great time. Straight people don't sit around worrying how the actions of other straight people will affect the STRAIGHT COMMUNITY, so why do we? It's called: internalized homophobia. Don't believe the hype.
suvariboy 3 months ago
I agree with you on pride parades-they DO reinforce stereotypes.
They're really fun, though. One of my friends is Italian, and he says European pride parades are less flaming and fabulous-there are rainbows, but not everyone there is flamboyantly gay.
NaomiLawlietJr 3 months ago
@NaomiLawlietJr Have you ever been to a pride parade? There are TONS of people there, of every persuasion and personality type. Who cares if some are more or less flamboyant? That's such a homophobic thing to say. It makes me laugh. My sister said: "If I see a woman in a super short skirt on with high heals and lots of make-up I don't worry about how her manner of dress with affect all women, so why are people concerned how a flamboyant gay man will affect the entire gay community?"
suvariboy 3 months ago
@suvariboy I have been. And I thought it was fun. And I was generalizing, which I admit is indeed a logical fallacy.
And disclaimer: I don't care if someone's flamboyant~and I never said that they affect all the rest of the gay community.

People keep saying God made Adam and Eve - YES, he did but he made them like that so that they could REPRODUCE. He didn't make them to define that love is gotta be ONLY between a man and a woman, that's a man's "law" not God's.

@RedMatrixGhost,i believe most gays were born this way but we need to get to the bottom of this genetic abnormalities !
sn9696 4 months ago
@sn9696 We shouldn't get to the bottom of gentic anything, this is what we are, this is how we will be.those who don't like it don't have to be gay. It's up to us to be true to ourselves,we're not doing anything wrong. It's just the way it is.We are neither possesed nor genetically flawed.we are simple humans with different preferances.SImple as that.No science can explain it nor cure cause there's nothing to cure.Gay is something everyone discovers for themselves.Nothing is wrong with US.
RedMatrixGhost 4 months ago
@RedMatrixGhost ,Something has gone wrong geneticly, i have figured out most reasons for this genetic abnormalities but not all ! Males are to be with females and females to males,I know truth can hurt ! i dont hate gays but what happens if all humans were gay ?
sn9696 4 months ago
@sn9696 You may have figured the abnormalities but it isn't something can be reversed or even supresed, and if it is genetics like you say, then every gentesist in the wolrd would be trying to "cure" the world of homsexuality, but theres nothing to cure, because there's nothing wrong with gay.If all humans were gay is simply impossible, that is an impossiblity,we should focus on what is and not what should be.Be true to you, fuck everyone else.
RedMatrixGhost 4 months ago
@sn9696 All humans will never be gay. That's a silly question. I was born gay. I know because...I am me and I know. I knew from a very young age that I was gay. I tried to make myself be attracted to women but, short of living a lie, I chose to be true to myself and live as I was born. I was lucky to find the man of my dreams, fall in love and we've been together now for 22 years. There's nothing genetically wrong with me, so you needn't worry about "getting to the bottom" of anything.
suvariboy 3 months ago
@sn9696 "but what happens if all humans were gay" hypotheticals make for terrible arguments, the postulation is an impossibility, and therefore holds no argumentative relevance. Please show empirical evidence to reinforce your assertion that "Something has gone wrong genetically*" .
* Revised for 2nd grade spelling proficiency
RebelWrestler45 3 months ago

Sensansenkai 4 months ago
Ultramediacorp 4 months ago
@Ultramediacorp Brother, I appreciate your indifferent nature to peoples sexual orientation, but how is it at all fair to say that the people who had been kicked out before "don't ask don't tell" was repealed shouldn't have been allowed to be themselves so that they could serve the country they love and lay down their lives for it? Another thing: It wouldn't be an issue if equal rights were practiced and hate was eliminated from the narrow-minded who are the ones stopping that from happening.
Sensansenkai 4 months ago
@Ultramediacorp Rude words and ALL CAPS do not make your comment any more valid. There have been thousands of gay people who were kicked out of the military at the hands of DADT who were not as you describe them to be. Not flamboyant. No agenda. Didn't talk about their private lives. Just wanted to serve their country. Many were highly trained professionals - linguists, medics, etc. - who were tossed out through no fault of their own. You're a homophobe. I get that. You're also wrong.

Coming to the party @ 28 gives him some catching up to do; as well as, he needs to meet more of the hidden tribes of gay people that just don't go out.
douglasokc 4 months ago
It's good to challenge stereotypes. It's also good to be respectful of people whom you feel live up to those stereotypes. It's so common among gay men to disparage one-another because of how they do or do not fit within the "typical" image of a gay man. This aversion to what is perceived as "typical" is, ironically... pretty typical.

@soberorhigh learn to use punctuation your sentences properly, eh, love? :)

Ultramediacorp 4 months ago
@Ultramediacorp He was celibate because he was brainwashed into believing the folk tales, mythology, and miscellaneous babbling of a bronze age nomadic people were literally the true, unaltered word of god.

@Ultramediacorp - Yes, godamn right, because god ALWAYS answers the prayers of those who require synaptic reconfiguration but if your kid died of cancer, then .... meh, you didn't pray hard enough, you weren't christian enough.

@raisinhead2 mumbled:"but if your kid died of cancer, then .... meh, you didn't pray hard enough, you weren't christian enough."
I wouldn't know, the lord cured my Cancer. Perhaps you might want to give that some thought about the malignancy destroying your soul
