Rasta your by far my favorite innovator in the community and have been for quite some time..I honestly can watch your stuff over and over and just be boggled every time..I cant thank you enough for sharing these dank moves with me...your a core reason i keep plugging..if you dont mind me asking how long have you been spinning?ive been going for four years now..and when i watch you i say to myself this guy has had ta be spinning since he was 2..lol..im sure its not the case..but thanks again man.
Awesome videos, definitely given me some stuff to play around with. Just a quick question though, Rob, your poi look like the handles stick together incredibly easily and strongly, are the handles special in some way? Hooks? Magnets? I just can't imagine my poi's handles sticking like that.
@azurefeline That's crazy, I've got the same handles but there's no way I could get them to hold onto each other like that, like that move at 2.03, I don't understand what holds them together so well. Is there some technique that I'm not seeing? Are they tangled in a specific way? Honestly, that blows me away that you're using PX3 handles and are capable of doing that, the whole video was amazing, but that particularly stood out to me, because I can't even comprehend how it's happening.
@NathanielEverist Although my PX3 handles are on the HOP pendulum poi, not cole-cord. I might have to try and make a set using the cole-cord and see if it becomes more viable for me, because with the HOP pendulums, the cord is so thick it might interfere. Do you know the poi I'm talking about? Do you think those moves you're doing are possible with those?
Yeah, if you use thicker cord it doesn't work so well - chutney has 8mm rope (I think) and it doesn't connect well at all. though the handle-on-string catches are still fine.
I'll try to get a quick demo vid up to show how they connect in closeup.
@azurefeline The handle catches work OK with thicker cord(and actually is passable with my 'wibble' cone poi too incidentally)- the handle to handle stuff doesn't though.
You have been two of my favorite spinners for some time. I was so pleased to see you made a video together. So good. I have playing with a lot of negative space stuff too lately. Would love to spin with you guys sometime. Thanx for the inspiration! Much <3
Oldschhol is still cool! I missed Robs spinning so much it's so fun to watch! And mesmerizing in a strangely compelling way.
Rastaxel I'm deeply inspired by your spinning! So many combinations I have never seen anyone do and to see you pull them off one after the other is just mindblowing.
nice vid. great flow and creativity. approved lol.

im guessing they are the same, as Play were selling them at EJC apparently.. same as ours from juggleart.
AWOLLA 1 year ago
@AWOLLA My juggleart poi are different, they've got the spherical silicone handles, not the PX3 handles.
