He is most definitly not even musical, since he cannot hear, that he is hitting the wrong notes. He is playing minor continuously, where he should be in major. Beethoven would not be pleased!
This is a very common song that usually kids at this age play. So I mean yeah he's better than most... but this isn't all that splendid. But yeah he's good.
these are the kind of people who can't sing and end up embarrassing themselves on american idol. parents encourage, not that great. and you didn't even do the bridge dork
Yeh he's 8! But i like how none of u have asked when he actually started to play! He may of only started to play pianno wen he was 8! So get over urselves! If ur sooo good prove it!
hahaha, you must be joking! I learned to play the entire origional composition much faster and at the age of 5. Most of the other students at the conservatory I attended were younger than this child when they learned the song.
im not saying its bad for an 8 year old but the only way you would be able to consider a child a prodigy by playing this would be if they were 5 or younger. i can play that peice and i dont even play piano
Unless there's a serious video lag..that's not him really playing...and like most people said..that Fur Elise isn't hard to play at all and is very commonly one of the first classical pieces that students learn to play.
The Fur Elise isn't a very difficult piece. I played it by 8, and I was hardly a "child prodigy". He didn't even play the right notes! He just played the start in loop. Tell him to chill out, go learn and record the full piece and then come back.
P.S. It's horrible to criticise a child's playing. I apologise. I think the reason, though, why some (including myself) have been critical is because you labelled him as a prodigy! Thus he could only ever disappoint. Tell him "Good luck!"
where's the rest of the song? there is a middle part that's really cool and he didn't play it...

Fur Elise is a classic beginner's piece, there are eight year olds all over the world playing this. You're no child prodigy.

I played this when I was 5, it is extremely easy including the bridge section which some label as hard.

he is pretty good but i'm sorry to say that you don't have to be a child prodigy to play fur elise at the age of 8.

I played the real version of this at 9. My babysitter got really, really freaked out. Hehe.... although I wasn't playing it very well.
