In the gentoo official website you can find the download ways as well as manuals to install gentoo. HOWEVER, I don't recommend this distro if you are a beginner in the linux world, it's hard to configure, it took me 5 days to let the system exactly as I want. Try to begin with ubuntu
@wearleyjr I agree with webbruno. haha oops. This comment was a year ago. But anyway Gentoo is the probably the last linux distro you want to touch. Seriously. If you are interested in climbing the linux ladder go from ubuntu, fedora, arch, sabayon, then at last gentoo or slackware.

Meh... i have been running gentoo for a few months. I was fine with it until i decided to learn to program in C#. All that time installing/tweaking the damn OS down the drain. How is something supposedly "cutting edge", yet doesen't support programming languages of the Real World
Languages of the Real World... That's something unusual to hear. Look, if you couldn't run C# in a Gentoo, neither the other servers running mostly of time linux, could... So that's a language of the real world?? Or the world they sold to you??
hmm, compiz and xfce, didn't thought of that combo. Looks nice. gj

@wearleyjr Don't choose a distro based on how sexy it looks, any distro can be made to looks good.
