That has got to be the smoothest flying rc heli I have ever scene. Love the sound of the turbine. I tried many times to fly rc helis. Sever thousand dollars of repairs later. I can only keep one aloft for about 30 seconds. Then I crash. I have tried electrics and nitro, but I never had the money to try a turbine powered one. 9ft main rotor, no wonder it is so smooth.

The only thing that'ld make this RC bird more realistic to scale, is a 3 bladed rotor head just like on the real Lamas! Other than that, it still looks COOL!

Is this the biggest RC helicopter you've ever flown? How does it compare to a .60 or .90 sized nitro helicopter for control? Also, how much difference was there between this head and the flybarless head? thanks! (looking at the XLV mechanics with the Jet Ranger fuse)

Yes! this is the biggest RC chopper that I have ever flown. It flies like a dream with the 2 blade head as well as the 3 blade head. The filling of flying the heli is a lot more heavier.... the machine is about 49 lbs.... so it doesn't respond like a 3D machine at all.... more like the response of a scale ship and crisp..... you have to anticipate the use of power.... there is pleanty of power. The sounds is awesome and once you have tried it will be very hard to go to a 90 size.

What engine does it have?

It has a Jakadosky turbine. The turbine runs at 93,000 RPM and then is reduce by the gears for a 840 RPM on the rotor head.

This is an old video but the lama already has a 3 blade system and she is flying even better.... also no holes on the side of the exhaust so now is 100% scale. Once I have a new video I will post it. Thanks!!
