  • I prefer C4D, but this is one hell of a 3d program.

  • @FOods200 its a flat square then hit tab to render it

  • any know a video to help me start the lightwave? i mean step by step "now hit the x key..." i want start modelling PM me pls (sry for my bad english)

  • flash cs4 is much easier

  • hey! can you please tell me the requirements for light wave

coz i have a crapy computer ! please answer me !

    btw nice video ! =)

  • WTF is he doing?

  • Hell yeah its hard but its soo easy when you start it i taking a class in high school

go up to your address bar, put the letter "Q" between the words you and tube, then press enter or click go

  • Lol lightwave is hard to learn and expensive?? Have u ever seen 3DS Max?? thats hell expensive and hard to learn.

  • yes, it is. Its a highend program compared to Blnder which is a midrange program, so again, yes its better.

  • I tried it out but I found that it's extremely hard to learn!

  • @PotadoTomado It's not mate. You just have to take your time with it. And don't try and learn it without following some tutorials first.

I used to think Photoshop was hard to learn but it took me a month to impress myself and teacher with it. And that's only using it 3 days a week for an hour.

Lightwave on the other hand took me longer to learn and I'm still learning. But once I start using it I can't get off it.

  • Uh, yeah. Lightwave is a professional quality program, blender is free and open source. That in itself should answer your question.

  • it's expensive-er

  • nice tut

  • wtf?

  • where do you get this?

  • idk, but watch out for *THE police, become a *PIRATE, and sail to the *BAY.

  • you mean piratebay LOL!

  • what is this piratebay you speak of? (wink*wink*) ahaha

  • LOL

  • No its still on, retard?. and btw its called ''Thepiratebay''

  • help anybody why can't I select in modeler Its like their is a glitch or something I have the latest version its just my stupid selection tools especially points I click over and over and a point won't show up or one will show up in the wrong spot I right and left click and i get nothing I don't even get the lasso tool please help I am so frustrated

  • i think i will go to basics...

  • Thanks for the tutorials. I've been using LightWave for a while now, but there is nothing like a good video tutorial.

  • hmm interesting, i would buy lightwave, as ive got a very creative side of me, and it would be lots of fun, but i don't have almost 1,000 laying around to spend it on :(

  • Skilled ray-tracers (and musicians, etc.) always speak in a very boring voice. It makes it hard and boring to focus on it, although the topic itself might be interesting and the information of course very useful. Rob Hubbard for example is an amazing genius musician but his speech.. well, it's very tedious to try to listen to, although his stories are interesting. They should always hire a 'speaker-person' to do the speeches.

  • Do you know what kind of requirements you need for your desktop to run lightwave 3d 9.0

  • i run it great on my laptop. 1.8ghz 1Gig RAM. 256Vcard. Runs like a dream. I had 70.ooo polys on the screen at once two days ago and it was only slightly jumpy

  • Yeah it'll work with little or no problem but when you start rendering or even animating a big scene :( it kills my computer. & i'm running with a 3.4 ghz processor and 2 gigs of ram lol my computer gets very slow when i animate :)

  • I would suggest to switch to a dual core configuration.

Else you can lower the process priority, this way you can always do what you want.

As a Result CPU is working at full 100% but you're not limited to wait until it finishes...obviously depending on your actions the time to render will grow by a mean of 5% or more.

  • lightwave is complicating......

  • Sun over a Forrest? Can anyone tell if a switch from Blender to Lightwave has a point?

  • yeah blender is great but light wave is easier to understand.

  • lol Blender is an awesome 3D software because it is free and very open. Lightwave costs money. however, it is highly powerful in modeling and animating, Blender is great at that but since it is consintrated on the general aspect of 3D (including interactive) the modeling isn't as powerful

  • Ouch i think im gonna go with the torrent lol it costs $300 where i am :(

  • asshole

  • but i dont know how to put that ball.....

  • ye... its only a trial though

  • can u download this thing for free?

  • you can download the full version in a torrent.

  • ungreatful faggot

  • 3d valley has some helpful tutorials

  • I have lightwave 3d 9.0 on my pc. I am expected to learn it for a project but i have no idea how to. Help!

  • Read the manual and study for years. It won't happen over night. There's lots of tutorials on the Newtek page.

  • You hit the nail on the head by saying "Study for years". There is just sooo much to learn... But I love it!

  • Dude, he's giving us free tutorials.
