Dã... Samba is like tradional song, the south of brazil has it own kind of songs, either the north part, etc. Like "Pimba" in Portugal. Or Salsa in the Latin countries, or Tango in Argentina, etc.

We listen to normal songs like Rock, Pop, Popular Brazilian Music, etc.

Unfortunately, this is the image that Brazil has outside here.

First of all, we're not portugueses. Brazil has about 90 million people that are from portuguese descent, but are not portuguese.. they are brazilians...

Another point is the fact that we have lots of people from Africa...and there is also millions of italians, germans, japanese, chinese, etc, etc, etc...portugal and BR hv a lot in common, but at the same time nothing, mainly this song.

Without Portugal there didn't even exist a Brasil at all.
