  • Band sounds great. Find a singer who can hit the notes without too much pitchiness or vibrato. Sorry, but it's too weak a link. Super funky playing.

  • this stuff takes some playing...and these guys play it so well ...giant would be proud.

  • Great tune by a great band.

  • Great job!

  • Great job guys! Keep the music alive.

    To Giant... REUNION

  • Great!

  • cool cover :) good job

  • excellent

  • Thank you.

  • Good job, Mr. Gendes. If you need a bassist for this project, Ray Schulman was a huge influence upon me.

  • do they still play in chicago? i'm in michigan...i'll come down for this.

  • That last I heard, is that they were reorganizing the band.

  • Great! What the world need is a great Gentle Giant cover/tribute band. A band that can tour Europe like The Musical Box etc.

    Is this the band??

  • BRAVO!

  • Well done !!!! Good Band !

  • Admirable! Keep it up!

  • I remember hearing this song the first time, needle touching the virgin vinyl, the amazing changes of beat and harmonies dancing madly across my brain. The Brothers really pull the umbilical to the deep roots.

  • Do these guys only play around the Chicago area? I would love to see them if they travel around to other parts of the country!

  • As far as I know they just play in the Chicago area.

  • GREAT, i say bravo as well. finaly there is band that plays gg stuff. very risky, very good. well done guys. thank you.

  • well done guys

  • Glad you liked it. This band is very good. Thanks for the comment.

  • Extremely good effort and result. I didn't know there was a band doing Gentle Giant stuff. It is very difficult material. I mean, to be performed.

I'm Italian and know them from the 70s.

You deserve a big BRAVO! And I guess the "Giants" would say so too.

  • very nice

    excellent keys,

would like to hear own stuff,

    they have lots potential

  • Keeping these particular guys together as a band was not possible (though I had hoped to). Yes, Jamie the keys player is great, as they all are. I learned things just being in the same room. Gende's Giant continues with other dedicated members (and a new singer - good news for me).

  • anyone who's got the guts to perform any giant's song live deserve my deepest respect. the only thing i would criticized is the singer, but then again...well done, guys.

  • thanks for the comments.

  • That's OK, I can take it! I really wanted to play bass, but could find guys to hire in every department but the vocal one. So, I took it by default. Did my best, but nothing like Derek. I have since moved to bass and we have a new vocalist. I hope you'll like the new Gende's Giant.

  • we wanna see more gende's videos! comeon band crew!

  • THAT is progressive rock.

  • mmm me parece que es un tema que da para mucho mas y con todos los equipos que se ven en el video, la interpretacion, podria haber sido muchisimo mejor.

  • Ouch! Amateur night at the tribute house.

  • Is that filmmaker Michael Moore in the front row?

    Nice cover. Solid B+

  • i didn't film this, so don't know if it's michael moore. thanks for checking the vid out!

  • I was there. Not Michael Moore. Guitarist Gary Green was in the audience as mentioned and the sound man was Dave Zammit, GG's sound man.

  • Thank you, a great experience, this missing piece! On reflection, this is a funny way to stimulate me and the boys in the band in our aspirations on starting just the same project! I will think of you with kindness while you keep playing the game so sincere. After all, it's a dog's life, reviving memories of old days for nobody, anyway, I would have bet you couldn't do it, and you are certainly winning!

  • Real nice try but covers of Giant?.. even Giant themselves real can't live up to themselves. I am impressed with this bands accuracy. Wy don't they put some of that kind of energy into somem music writing? That is what is needed!

  • Absolutey fantastic. You really have achieved the near impossible, not only recreating this sophisticated music but carrying it forward with your own special treatment. I want to see you play live. Come to England NOW!

  • It makes me so happy that Gentle Giant is still admired and appreciated in such an uncreative world we're forced to live in now.

  • concurred!

  • Congratulations guys! Do you perform often live? Please give us more!

  • There were no original members on this gig--it's a tribute band, although original guitarist Gary Green was in the audience!

  • Who are the absent original members of the band there ? I know that Weather is not the one playing the drums ...

  • Ah Yes, fabulous to hear tribute to one of my favorite bands and songs, thank you! I love the JTS intro on Freehand with the snapping fingers but never hear that part on any live version. Is it me or does the rhythm change in the snapping finger opening. Always wondered about that. Priceless piece of music

  • GREAT feat! VERY cool. Where are these guys from?

  • From Chicago area.

  • boy, they nailed that...that's one of my fav GG tunes...

    great post.

  • Nice keyboard solo dude. soem cool shapes and textures and you didn't just memorize and copy Minnear's solo. Just to let you know I teach music and one of my students was forming a GG tribute band so there may be some competition. He showed me the beginning to Proclamation (mostly a minor 6 chord) i showed him Experience

  • Outstanding performance!!

  • Audio is a
