Homesulate....since your too cheap to get a real energy license so that you know what you are talking about. You should download the 90 day trial of remdesign, learn why wall R-value is one of the most unimportant numbers in home energy.
Those energy savings numbers are hillarious! I just used REMdesign to calculate going from R-5 to R-15 in all walls, triple the wall R-value on an 1800sqft house, SAVES YOU 8$/YEAR. How much do you charge? To save me 8$/year? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. People, stop thinking you are going to find your home energy miracle on the internet!
I would like to know what the realistic sound proofing would be? What is the STC rating? I want to buy a townhouse and retrofit but only if I could almost soundproof all common walls.
Great video. I heard about homesulate on the radio today. I'm considering having it done on my house in Houston. I'm another one that is concerned with whether or not it is a urea formaldehyde foam. It's interesting that its pre-expanded before injecting..
You have very little real information available on the video or on your channel and no website shown for anyone seeking additional information. Is your foam open-cell, closed-cell? Is it polyurethane, water based, tripolymer (urea formaldehyde)? You state that it's eco-friendly but provide no information to support that statement. The fire rating suggests that it may be the tripolymer foam that has been banned in Canada.
This presentation is very bias IMHO. Reason: the Cellulose Insulation should not be as loose as it appears in the demonstration "Properly" installed. I do like this method over the cellulose though.
Homesulate wall foam is specifically formulated for retrofit applications, and most of the homes we re-insulate are 20 years and older. Over time in older homes, cellulose settles and deteriorates and our intent is to accurately portray this in our product video to show how our retrofit wall foam insulation can be installed directly into the stud cavity with cellulose present. Thank you for your interest.
@Homesulate Yet you don't say it in the video. If someone didn't know that the paper wasn't suppose to look as it does in your video they may get a different perception of what it is really suppose to look like when properly installed not after a "20 year simulated portrayal". I still like your product more.
Hello, I am very interested in this product. Would it be possible to get a copy of the STC test arrangement so that we can examine the methodology used for the acoustic test. STC 53dB is indeed impressive, can you advise if it works of the principle of absorption within an sandwich layer?

@trader891 I just saw on their website that it's composed of modified phenolic based methylene bound copolymers, and it's not urea formaldehyde foam.
