this is not a working home studio, it s just a collection of donated material.. i feel most of this equipment will find its place in ebay..

i would keep the computer they gave him and the software- get rid of the 003 mixer and the ebony summer , the octopre, keyboard and synth, guitar, guitar amp, and throw in some additional cash and pick up some real pre amps, maybe a couple api channel strips and ua 610's- or an api lunchbox with some nice 500 series modules....

He's prob just overwhelmed with all that gear. As many people have said, you should never buy more than 1 piece of gear at a time until you have mastered the last. Well... this guy has a whole lot of work ahead of him (manual reading). Not to mention, he's an artist in a band. Most artist have absolutely no idea with what it takes to be a Recording Engineer. I'm a Recording Engineer Grad. Have fun buddy learning all that gear. Hey, we prob will see his stuff on Ebay due to frustration. HEhe

I LOVE Sound on Sound, only magazine I ever read. I never win anything though... I think it's because I'm in the U.S. and they don't want to make a trip :-P.

olot of that stuff is just showy good computer programs but i doubt you will need all those plugins/vsti (cant tell if its pc or mac).
