Ah, Piazzolla... so rich, so intense...

I think one of my favorite things about this video is the age range... some of these guys were probably giving recitals before the rest of them were even born, and yet here they all are, playing together. Also, you often see musicians being cutthroat and competitive, so the cooperation (and leave it to the cellists) warms my heart :)

They do actually , her name is Solene Kermarrec & she is French . She joined the orchestra in 2006 so presumeably it was after this recording was made .

makes me just want to be there playing as in the ensemble, the music of Die 12 cellisten is timeless, i don't believe in adoring musicians as they are only instruments to the composers, piazzolla is the master.

Piazzolla is the best compositor, for music like that ones.

I think nowadays, many compositors are not known by many people, but everybody should know his (Piazzola's) job. It's really excelent!
