i vote to go on a silver standard. have only silver banks, no paper money. paper has to backed by silver only. all coins to have 90 percent silver in them
Unreal how corrupt they are. The evil bankers will do anything to keep control. What's next? All I know is it is sure to screw John Q. Taxpayer some more....
The corrupt fiat monetary ship has already hit the ice berg . We are now in panic and wondering if we should put our life jackets on . We really hope that someone will save us all , but do we really buy that? The central banks are printing pieces of paper to try and plug the gaping hole in the hull , but the water is relentless. Meanwhile the ship announcer (media) is telling everyone that help is on the way. Do we really believe this? Its simple , put your life jacket on and get ready.
The devil or god could be controlling the banking system it does not change the fact that the system is bad who is behind it is irrelevant as we now have a choice use a bad system or not.
Really, we are all on this earth together, and you still have not figured out why? This is Babylon we are in. Right back to Ceasar! Satan wants control and worship, and uses men /Gov. systems to do so. Satan kills, and god so loved the world! Jesuits will bring in anti-christ and rule you even more!
Man... What next. Were I live we are about to face a HST (harmonized sales tax) next year. I started to add up what I would have to pay with the current prices and I will not be able to afford luxuries like food and heat. And when the US economy hits the crapper, Canadians will be back living in igloos.
The only reason we need further regulations, is to correct the problems caused by prior regulations. The "first cause" (so to speak) was the Federal Reserve Act and legal tender laws. Every other regulation that followed, was meant to correct the problems caused by the original and other prior legislation.
Our laughing news reporter... Thanks for helping to lighten up serious stuff. It seems I have to 'register' to get into the New York Times article so I have not read the article yet. But I will soon.
That laugh was killer. Heard TMM talk about this too. Credit card eh?? Could you do a segment next time on using credit for gold/silver? Really want to hear your opinion on that topic.
F the banks. I am cutting up all my credit cards as part of my New Years resolution. They won't get a dime of any of my transactions now.
I would like to open a store in town and accept gold/silver as payment in addition to FRN. Maybe offer some kind of discount for those who pay in metal. What do you think?
Free society does not mean that banks can do whatever they like. Banks must be accountable to the depositors and shareholders. Otherwise, it's fraud. Liberty does not mean licentiousness.
It's all going to hell in a handbasket, so why shouldn't the banksters go bananas? It's all play money, and they know it, so why not pile on as much as they can while it's still worth something? Then, in the event of a devaluation, they'll still have more of the new fake money then anyone else. ='[.]'=
isn't it fractional lending that screws banks and central banks? making paper $ is ez enough. putting numbers in on a computer screen, priceless. if you have gold and silver you will soon be the boss of your community. i expect people will work for a silver 1/2 dollar a day when things get real bad.
i am happy about that they give us the mother of all crises and destroy the western currencies. That way vages will come down to an average of the second world countries(somewhere between 100-400$ a month) and we re not able to destroy this planet anymore because we re able to afford it. we cant buy much flesh, dairy, gas, wood, basicly we cannot consume this planet to death.
i love you enthusiasm bro...your laugh was SO DIABOLICAL and in complete frustration YET you maintained self control CAUSE we all want GOD to bring VENGENCE apon DEM!
Grace THEN Peace
maybe i'm dumb but i'm waitin for the dollar to get closer to par with the us
NO NO....Jesus is LOVE yes, but HE IS ALSO JUSTICE...perfect JUSTICE..thus if they have not come to repentance through his sacrifice to be justified in the END....then they are OUTSIDE His covering (blood sacrifice) for their ignorances against His LAWS of Justice! Thus Vengence is HIS...HE WILL REPAY!
grace (God opening our eyes) THEN peace (God's Alone)
cont pt 2 this is just more evidence of the insanity that passes as valid reasoning or discussion of issues. this is not actual reason, so what do you do? it seems that one must make a choice to join the crazies or plan for the chaos the crazies are instituting. gone to hialea, the bit in their teeth. hialea is a horse racing track in new york city area, and they have gone to gamble. thanks divinci share ing the outrage, your laugh is wonderful. peace
the thing that stands out in this correspondence/report? don't know how to place it, but the thing is the word "needs" of the regulators. it seems this man's opinion of the regulators that presumably are government enlisted workers acting in the interest of the general public according to law to insure these financial actors are acting according to the afore mentioned laws. their "needs" is not and should not be a descriptive of the job they are doing. this is a touchy feely term used to muddy.
Incredible. I guess the beast is not only feeding on us, but themselves too. Talk about a sick deprived system, we have it alright. Just goes to show who's really in control -and it sure as hell isn't us nor our "representatives"!
lol
Loved the end! Yup, a great reason to buy gold on the card! :-) Kind of getting the upper hand whilst playing their own game.
Agreed! Bob Chapman even recommends borrowing money now to buy gold and silver. What would be to stop someone from maxing out all their credit cards buying metal then just make minimum payments on them until it is time to just walk away...or you could sell a little bit of what you bought on the cards and pay them off in the future keeping the rest for "free" and avoid the nasty letters and calls from the collection agencies.
The dollar is just paper that substitutes as wealth not wealth it's self. Your risk is zero on a credit card because if you don't pay it's a non recourse loan.
Davinci, not good advice to use a credit card to purchase silver and not pay it off. Destroy your credit rating and try to get a home loan. Good luck. Best is just to pay cash for silver.
Destroy your credit! that is why we are in this mess- people with too much credit! it controls you! Home loan so the Gov. will just take it away. But silver with credit, and watch silver pay you more than bad loan on a over priced house!
This is true in some states but have you seen the foreclosure problem has clogged up the courts so badly that most people are able to stay in their homes for years.
however you do have a point if you are unemployed, self employed have no cash and underwater on your mortgage then Credit Card defaulting makes sense since you are judgment proof.
So your economic situation, state laws and most important your need for future credit dictates your ability to default Credit Cards.
Governments are all talking now as if this recession is finally over when I personally believe that this is only the end of phase one. I think phase two is going to be even worse.
I'm getting the same feeling. I keep thinking phase two starts when more of the power they want is consolidated (as in this Copenhagen deal) and fragility of the dollar can't be hidden any longer. Then things will really get interesting.
Amazing to watch the wizard out in full view. The general public will be mystified and truely believe this can't be happening this way.
When Nick brought this up, I thought it was a logical next step in the total degradation of the $. Countries don't have enough wealth to prop this mess up, must resort to regulated solvency. The charade is truely exposed. We are on the right side of the trade financially, general happy days will be a distant memory for most.
No, No regulations are not the problem it's the system. Banks should do what ever they want but not under this current monetary system or they will collapse it very fast.
The regulation should come from the free market where you do not put your money in a bank you do not trust because they have not disclosed all the information you want.
At first I thought what a dumb question but really there are no dumb questions.
The truth is the currency will still be accepted but more and more of it will be needed. Thus you want to hold something that will hold it's value so that you can trade it for currency to buy something at the store.
Example is gas for 99% of the last 100 years less than one quarter of an ounce of silver gave you 1 gallon of gas, even today. Thus when silver is $100 and gas is $20 a gallon you sill can buy it.
Just keep the mark to model going and to hell with the mark to market model. Who needs to know the truth anyway? Like you said, in the end, only gold and silver will be trusted and valued. Just listen to Bob Chapman's sobering comments last Thanksgiving...We dont have much time left for this little charade to play out....
