This is not only some of the best Nord C2 playing I've ever heard, but also some of the best Hammond organ style playing I've heard. Simply fantastic man.
The Nord has the same percussion as Hammond, and can be connected to a Leslie through an 11 pin plug, or with a high-output 1/4" plug (like driving the Leslie from an organ speaker)
And I don't think the player is using the reverb available on the Nord. A Nord through a Leslie, with a touch of reverb, is very damned close, and a Nord through a keyboard amp is certainly good enough to work.
@whitesebi late 60's early 70's organ funk like jimmy mcgriff, groove holmes, odell brown, lonnie smith. boogaloo style jazz, basically funky dance music
Are there 9 (10?) contacts on the Nord's keys or is it just ' single wire' keying? Is it 'touch percussion' like the original Hammond key percussion, or does every note sound percussion? [ The video h385.wmv explains the difference and the Hammond H385 had a switch to choose between the 'Touch Percussion' ON/OFF. Incidentally, my Hammond Elegante (81') does not have touch percussion, but if you put 'Repeat Percussion' on a very low repeat it acts exactly like Touch Percussion, only decays fast.
@gingabeard You can dirty it up god n proper man. You can increase the valve leak, key click, change the dirt style of the leslie - and if all else fails, a tiny touch of overdrive seems to get a nice grimy sound going. It truly is a fine piece of work. Though, personally, owning one, it will never have the presence of a real B3, with twin leslies wailing away. Modern tech can never replace that feeling of power.
Merci beaucoup beaucoup !! Ton commentaire me ravi et me donne envie de continuer ! Pour répondre à ta question, ça ne s'apprend pas vraiment, disons que ça se trouve au fond de soi, mais je suis organiste de formation donc bon, hihi, pas de mérite ici, que du plaisir !

The adjustments of the controls between the musical phrases are almost as impressive as the playing itself. Nice work!

no - no difference at all compared to a Hammond. well.........except a Hammond doesn't sound thin and plasticky.
