it'd be awesome if you posted a lesson video. youtube doesnt have one yet but a lot of people are searching, myself included, for it. you are the best cover i've seen
as a big DYLAN fan i must say that ther is no one on you tube that even comes close to the brilliant guitar playing of BOB DYAN than you show here. GREAT JOB!!!
Hey! Nice!! And thanks so much for positioning for the camera so we can see both hands on the guitar. I am really struggling with that fourth finger for the G and the C (alt) chords. My teacher tabbed out a picking pattern for me. I'm making progress with it. I'm curious what you are using for a picking pattern. Any tips on controlling and strengthening that fourth finger? 2 years of playing without it, but it is a skill I want to learn. My high E string is plinking and my hand is cramping.
Love this song. Great cover! With all respect to Mr Dylan, I think your cover is better than the original. Strong, clear, confident picking. Perfect tempo. Your notes ring. I think your Scottish voice is a perfect accompaniment as well.
I'm trying to learn that style of finger picking. If I could play it a quarter as good as you do I'd be happy.
top class. was playing you at work last night and today tried to track you down under john dalton. learnt a lot about physics and chemistry. keep up the great work JONN
hey! that interplay was inventive! A problem with this song generally is the similarity with the other one. I often get confused right in the middle of it, asking myself, which one am I actually playing? But herhaps you have better memory? :)
It's a Hohner Pro Harp. I don't think that there is much difference in sound between the Hohner "Blues Harp" style harmonicas. I just take what Charlie, at Glasgows' South Side Music, has in stock at the time.
absolutely wonderful. I've seen quite a few covers of this song on youtube now, since i've been searching for a video that i can use to teach myself to play it, and i have to say this one is by far my favorite. thanks for posting this!
See the notes below about how to play the verse. Best grabbed with the little finger of your right hand firmly anchored to the soundboard in my opinion. Others might disagree.

Jonn,
Better than Dylan! Guitar too loud though! Overpowers your voice. Great job. I'd buy it if you have it on a CD.

nicely done, bro. i usually hate covers of this song. they tend to be overly dramatic, which of course kills the lyrics. this one is good, though.

You can make it simpler if you like, by leaving the A string open and not using it. I like to alternate the bass strings E D A D because I think it sounds better, but I don't think it makes a lot of differance
Hope this helps.
