I Haven't gotten pop ups, however if you have spyware installed, probably... I've known Google to have some sort of connection to atleast one Spyware program (Search redirected to google).

well, those studios, who want to be absent in this attractive platform, let them have it... Besides, most of the recorded stuff you can see here, you couldn`t buy anyway. YouTube has advanced democracy.
google is bringing more restrictions onto youtube which limits wat you can watch, so if u saw something that was even remotely illegal say goodbye to it.
I think youtube will no longer be a forum enviroment... or atleast more like a politics messenger bored... but dont yell at the free thinker here... just a thought nothing I say may be true... it's just yeah I think they bought youtube because it's so popular on the news over all... sounds like a good excuse to start a politics video forum type thing...
Check the press release. They intend of leaving YouTube alone to capitalize on the popular brand. I do, however, expect some integration into the Google site. As far as free, Google has in the past aquired properties only to make them and keep them free. As far as the removal of things, YouTube has recently gotten so much attention that copyright holders are stepping up to have their stuff taken down. That's before Google even stepped into the picture.
I think the fact that the internet is going from user friendly to big business monopoly sucks, especially because we're caught in the middle of it. Watching some of our favorite independent websites go commercial-- sell out. Just because many people use one site doesn't mean it should be commodified... monopolized...
Fair point... And don't forget the rather generous amounts of money ($1 each signup I think) that Google was, or still is, giving to sites that convert people to Firefox!
I like Firefox, but I'm sick of it crashing every time I have, say, 80+ tabs open at once... At least it refreshes it for me though, and I can start clogging it up again. Or I could just get the latest release candidate, which saves the previous browser state. I hope IE7 is a more reliable fallback than IE6, however...
