  • I also just finished "Dog Tags", have read several others and recommend them highly to my dog lovin' friends. I grew up in Clifton NJ and had relatives in Paterson so I love the references to the Jersey areas I know so well. Nice to finally have something better than the New Housewives and the Jersey Shore idiots to represent the state! I too have rescues, just three right now, so I appreciate the work your foundation is doing. Can't wait for the new book!

  • Just finishing reading your book "Dog Tag" love the book, will be reading more of your books. P.S. I'm also a dog lover, have 3 rescues and 1 foster. Volunteer for a rescue "New Leash On Life" and have an upcoming event in Calabasas, CA called Nuts for Mutts, on June 26th you might want to check it out and best of luck to you and it would be great meeting you

  • I discovered you in my Ohio library, but grew up in NJ. I've read every book you're written to date, and absolutely LOVE them!! The characters, Tara, just everything. I have 9 of my own, 6 are rescues so I can imagine what a great person you are, helping these poor animals. Can't wait for your next book!! THANKS!!!

  • David - Have read all your books and love the themes with the dogs in them! Are you going to write any more Andy Carpenter/Tara books? I see your latest is not an Andy/Tara book, but will be reading it soon! Thanks for the wonderful and exciting entertainment!

  • ive read all his books except the last one (which i just bought )and the newest release in 2010. Im originally from Paterson NJ so it makes read his books even more interesting. All is books are great!!

  • I just finished your first book "Open And Shut" and just loved it. I just ordered another one and I know I will like it just as much especially since it has a German Sherherd Dog on the cover. My breed of choice. Of course I love them all. What a terrific thing you are doing rescuing all of these dogs. I wish I could do the same.

    A new fan

  • Give us one dog!

  • Thank-you many times over. You and your wife are truly "saints" in the doggie world and God Bless for your efforts.

  • I love this author and his characters relationship with his golden retriever. I was just looking up available golden retrievers for rescue and saw that he would be doing a book signing to benefit our local rescue group in Houston on August 8th. What a guy!

  • I thought you would be busy censoring books as you abhor any real debate.

  • This is awesome! I knew I loved his books for a reason! :o) What a joy to actually see him and his furkids.

    From another golden lover.

  • I was thrilled to get an email telling me about your next book and getting an up close and personal look at you and all your adopted 4 legged friends. As many have said before me thank you for all you do for these precious animals.

  • Can't wait for the next Andy Carpenter/Tara book! I have loved them all. God Bless you for your writing and your animal compassion.

  • David - I look forward to yet another adventure with Andy Carpenter. Thank you for the glimpse into your Golden life. More so, I thank you for all the dogs you and Debbie have saved and opened your home to over the years, especially Herman

  • You are my favorite author of all time. I can't wait to read your next book. The video was wonderful. Thank you for giving us a look at your home and family of furkids.

  • I read your book "Play Dead" - a Golden Retriever friend gave it to me. It was great!! I'll look forward to reading your new book. I have been involved with Golden Retriever rescue for almost 15 years - good to see all your dogs! Another golden person posted the link on our Goldentown@yahoogroups website.

  • David - thanks for the email re: your upcoming new book. It was so nice to learn about the Tara Foundation and I applaud your efforts! We lost our cat to lymphoma after a valiant 2-year battle so I know what you and your wife went through. Looking forward to reading your new book! Keep 'em coming!

  • You are my absolute favorite author ever! I am so glad to see all those dgos in your house and know we aren't the only ones that live like that! St. Bernard, Pug, Boston Terrier, and mixed breed.
